  1. CLOSE!published at 15:03 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

What a move from Derby! Great start from the Rams as they put together a flurry of one-twos, one-touch stuff, like Ajax in the 1970s. Darren Bent lays the ball off but Craig Bryson's finish is tame and an easy save for Adam Federici. Moments later Simon Dawkins tests the Australian keeper again.

    Derby off to a flier.

  2. League Two previewpublished at 15:01 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

It is tight at the top of League Two, where just two points separate the top three. Shrewsbury currently lead the way with 58 points and they are at home to AFC Wimbledon, who are unbeaten in their previous four games.

Second-place Burton are at home to Oxford United while Wycombe, in third, host Newport.

York, second from bottom, host Tranmere who themselves are in relegation trouble. They have 31 points, two more than York.

Finally, an unusual sight at Mansfield as 1,000s of Northampton fans have dressed in wigs and headbands in honour of their midfielder John-Joe O'Toole. Crazy scenes.

  5. Aston Villa appoint Tim Sherwoodpublished at 15:00 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

John Dykes: Sherwood has a lot of potential but this could be a really bad move for both him and Villa. If he fails, who would have him next?

Tim Sherwood has been appointed manager at Aston Villa, signing a contract at the club until summer 2018.

The teams are out at a relatively sparse Ewood Park. The Stoke fans are here in voice though - they've packed the bottom tier of their end.

Plenty of fans in at Derby though. The magic of the FA Cup is alive for the Rams.

    Here we go then...

    FA Cup Final Score

"Automatic promotion is so important for Derby, but as a player you will not have many opportunities to progress in the FA Cup. To leave out the likes of Will Hughes and Jake Buxton, it will be an issue for them.

"You don't want to be left out of a run like this, especially when you are playing a team from the same division as you. I think Steve McClaren has missed a trick there in terms of keeping Derby's good run going."

Ben Dunbar: West Ham have history of being thrashed in the cup away from home on Valentine's Day. 25 years ago today Oldham beat them 6-0.

  11. League One previewpublished at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

Bristol City have a real chance to put further daylight between themselves and second-place Swindon in League One. City are at home to Sheffield United while Swindon, four points behind, are at Scunthorpe.

Third-place MK Dons are at Gillingham and could do with a win after their automatic challenge faltered in recent weeks. They have won just one of their previous four games.

Bottom of the table Leyton Orient are at Chesterfield, who could climb into the play-offs with a win, while Colchester travel to Oldham needing a win to avoid getting cut off in the relegation places. They are 21st, four points from safety.

I can sort of answer that one for you Lawro. Not many.

There may be more than 6,000 at Ewood Park this afternoon, but not too many more. It's safe to say the fans of Blackburn haven't really got behind this Cup run.

    Mark Lawrenson
    BBC Sport football analyst

"I watched Stoke beat Rochdale in round four - it was a tough game for them but they won by playing good football and scoring some fantastic goals.

"Blackburn's form in the Championship is very middle of the road - they have not won two games back-to-back since the start of November - and, although they are in the top half of the table, they are not really involved in the play-off race.

"I think everyone was mystified why Blackburn only drew a crowd of less than 6,000 for their win over Swansea in the last round, and it will be interesting to see how many turn up for this one."

  14. Aston Villa appoint Sherwoodpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

Lawrence Burden: Hope Tim does well, still think he should have been given more time with us. Could be a very good manager in the future.

Dylan: I bet Villa are wishing they had sacked Lambert earlier, could've had Pulis as a manager, the man is a genius.

Rich Barker: Why is Sherwood's stock so high with so little experience? Most managers have to serve a lower-league apprenticeship (e.g. Pulis).

  15. Championship previewpublished at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

Plenty of action in the Championship today with eight games kicking off at 15:00 GMT. Leaders Middlesbrough are not playing today - they face Arsenal in the Cup on Sunday - so a chance for Bournemouth to go top if they avoid defeat at home to Huddersfield.

Elsewhere, Ipswich - in fourth - have the chance to move to within a point of third-place Derby with a victory at Fulham.

At the other end of the table, Blackpool really need to pick up all three points against Nottingham Forest to ease their relegation fears ever so slightly. They are bottom, 10 points from safety. Millwall will need to get a result at Leeds if they are to move out of relegation zone, depending on results elsewhere.

    Football Focus

On his former club's hopes this season:

"There's good football pedigree here, with the manager and players they've got at the minute a good run between now and the end of the campaign could get them back in the Premier League."

  17. Postpublished at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

Reading manager Steve Clarke: "It was a disappointing defeat to Leeds in midweek but I have been really pleased with players. We are trying to progress step by step. The players have been good and responded well. I'm looking forward to the game today.

"I think with the teams we have picked in this competition we have shown it respect. It's a tough game today against a tough Championship side in Derby - who are where we want to be in the league.

"Team selection has been pretty consistent. I have got a really strong bench as well if I need to make changes during the game.

On Yakubu: "Just the reaction to the fact we brought him has been fantastic. He keeps looking to me for a start but he will have to come off the bench today."

Afternoon everyone. Is there a better way to start a Saturday afternoon than a good old-fashioned thumping?Dearie me West ham were poor at The Hawthorns. Big Sam will be like a bear with a sore head.

But who is joining them in the quarter-finals? I'm currently watching Yakubu and Darren Bent warm up at the iPro. Plenty more goals to come today? We hope so.
