Rian Hoskins: What has really helped Ideye is having another striker up front like Berahino or Anichebe. Displays the Pulis effect.

Sam Jones: If Tony Pulis was called Antonio Pulisio and wore a suit, he'd be managing one of the big clubs by now. Very underrated manager.

Andrew McGuinness: No leadership, no passion, no organisation, no good today for West Ham. Worst performance all season. Shame it's the FA Cup.

"Saido Berahino absolutely smashes that at the near post. Adrian was half going for the cut-back and left his near post exposed. This is a rout. West Ham have never been in this game. It's Nottingham Forest all over again."

Another for West Brom and it is a brilliant finish by Saido Berahino. He beats the offside trap to give him clear sight of goal, the angle is difficult but Berahino does well to fire beyond Adrian at his near post. Some West Ham fans have had enough and are leaving.

"Morgan Amalfitano just kicked Chris Brunt. He should have gone for that one but then he pushes Brunt away and does get the red. A ridiculous situation. It was a horrible swipe at him, he never went for the ball.

"I can't say what exactly the West Ham fans have just been singing but let's just say it was not complimentary about the manager. Not at all."

  6. RED CARDpublished at 14:13 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

It just goes from bad to worse for West Ham as Morgan Amalfitano and Chris Brunt tangle. Both get up and exchange angry words, but Amalfitano takes it too far, pushing Brunt in the face. Amalfitano is first booked for the foul and then red carded for the reaction.

Blackburn make eight changes from their victory over Rotherham, with captain Grant Hanley missing out. Top-scorer Rudy Gestede partners Joshua King up front.

2011 runners-up Stoke make just one change from their heavy Premier League defeat against Manchester City with goalkeeper Jack Butland coming in for regular number on Asmir Begovic.

Blackburn XI: Eastwood, Henley, Duffy, Kilgallon, Olsson, Taylor, Cairney, Williamson, Marshall, Gestede, King

Stoke XI: Butland, Cameron, Muniesa, Wollscheid, Bardsley, Arnautovic, Nzonzi, Whelan, Moses, Crouch, Diouf

"After a magnificent save by Ben Foster Gareth McAuley clears but what a chance. It's no surprise. West Ham change their system and make the best chance probably that they've made all season. Just a simple change and they create a wonderful opening.

"I think we can take West Brom out of the relegation equation now. They have been very good today. West Ham have been bad, but the home side have shown they should be taken out of that bracket."

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:12 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

Last throw of the dice for Sam Allardyce as striker Carlton Cole replaces Diafra Sakho and Alex Song goes off, with full-back Joey O'Brien coming on.

  10. CLOSE!published at 14:10 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

So close for West Ham! Aaron Cresswell sends an inviting ball in from the left and Diafra Sakho accepts it, stooping to head goalwards and it seems destined to bulge the back of the net but Gareth McAuley clears off the line.

  11. Think you can do better?published at 14:10 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

There may well be some West Ham fans currently thinking that they could do better than this afternoon's tepid showing from the Hammers.

And thanks to the BBC and FA's People's Cup this year you can prove it!

The 5-a-side football knockout tournament is open to established teams as well as individuals looking to join a team. Find a FA People's Cup venue and register before 17th February to get involved.

Morgan Amalfitano is heavily involved as West Ham try to get back into this. He tries to drive through the West Brom defence but his first touch is far too heavy and Ben Foster beats the West Ham man to the ball.

Andrew Priestley: Incredible header from Brown Ideye. To generate that amount of power from a standing jump with no pace on the ball is spectacular.

Steve O'Sullivan: I bet those West Ham fans behind the Smethwick End goal wish they were still stuck in traffic on the M1. Boing boing!

Thomas Cullen: Sam has to be careful, don't want this season petering. Looking worse today than we did at times last year.

"This game never looked like a fit for Kevin Nolan. He just wasn't playing in a position that suited him. Now all of a sudden West Ham have got width with Morgan Amalfitano on the pitch. I am really surprised Sam Allardyce didn't make these changes earlier."

"You can see in a Tony Pulis side that every player knows what's required of them. May seem a given, but, trust me, it ain't often the case."

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:03 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

Morgan Amalfitano was about to come on just before that. Sam Allardyce decides to continue with the change and the midfielder is on to replace Kevin Nolan, who has not been on it at all in this game. Amalfitano slots in wide right and the Hammers now have some much needed width, too late though?

    Former Portsmouth striker Steve Claridge
BBC Radio 5 live at The Hawthorns

"A wonderful move and West Brom made it look so easy. The West Ham defence was static though. The Baggies got a bit of luck because Saido Berahino's cross took a huge deflection, and Brown Ideye's header did too. That is probably it. But West Brom have deserved it. It's too late for the away side now."

  18. GOALpublished at 13:59 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

That is that as West Brom take full advantage of a static West Ham defence. Chris Brunt crosses behind the defence, Saido Berahino can't get the crucial touch and the ball runs through to Stephane Sessegnon, who crosses back in and Brown Ideye rises to nod home.

A chance for West Ham as Enner Valencia is fouled, but the ball runs through to Alex Song and the referee waves play on. Song tries to chip from a tricky angle and it is an easy save for Ben Foster.

  20. Postpublished at 13:57 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

Now then, Saido Berahino is onside here, he has the chance to add a third but his first touch takes him slightly away from goal, allowing a defender to get in front of him. He then slips when trying to open up space and the chance is gone.
