Dan Byrne:, external To think Given hasn't been playing consistently makes that even more impressive. That save was outstanding.

Richard Wilson:, external The forgotten man, Shay Given, demonstrating he's still got it.

Chris Bloomfield:, external Save of the season by Given. Fabulous goalkeeping.

"This is a tactic from Leicester, that low corner. They are looking for that touch at the near post. We have identified it after four or so attempts. Let's see if Villa have.

"Riyad Mahrez only had one thing on his mind there and that was to get a corner, trying to get that set piece. You would like to see Leicester show a little more ambition on the ball."

Corner number seven for Leicester, it comes to nothing but Aston Villa need to be careful. Give too many away and the Foxes could make it count eventually.

Leicester are enjoying a good spell now and push players up to support their attack, it leaves them exposed to the counter though and they are nearly caught out when Aston Villa break through Tom Cleverley. He takes too long to make a decision as he waits for support from his team-mates, giving Leicester time to recover.

"Leicester are causing problems from set pieces. And that will be a feature of their game. Every set piece they will pile the big players forward and they are a threat.

"They are also starting to commit more men forward and it is making for a better spectacle."

"Absolutely magnificent one-handed save from Shay Given. It's a tremendous left-foot strike but what a save from Given. Villa have got to hold tight, they can't let Leicester score."

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 13:04 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

Fantastic save! Esteban Cambiasso cuts the ball back for the onrushing Matty James on the edge of the area, he lets fly with a fierce drive and Shay Given somehow gets a hand to push it wide.

Better from Leicester as Andrej Kramaric spots Jeff Schlupp's run into space, plays the pass and Schlupp's cross is deflected over to Danny Simpson on the right. He sends the ball back into the area and Kramaric goes down under a challenge from Ron Vlaar. Penalty? Nothing given.

    Jason Roberts

"The ambition for Leicester to get forward and support their striker is really poor. They seem happy to go with set pieces.

"Their attitude to defending is excellent but the need to commit more men to midfield and attack."

Matty Upson deals with the subsequent corner and Leicester then go on the attack, Paul Konchesky whipping a cross in from the left but there appears to be little thought behind the execution, with no Foxes players waiting in the area when he sent the ball in.

Good work Christian Benteke as he holds off defenders on the edge of the area, turns but appears to run out of ideas, scuffing a weak effort into the middle of the area. Leicester take no chances, putting the ball out for a corner.

The two defences look so nervous, you get the feeling that a mistake is going to lead to the opener and there is a nervy moment when Shay Given tries to pass low out of the Aston Villa defence, Riyad Mahrez sticks out a foot to intercept it, but can't keep the ball in play.

John Mulleny:, external There won't be many games were Shay Given is the younger of the two goalkeepers - predict 2-1 Leicester.

Stuart Granville:, external I think Leicester should have this game! Villa will need Benteke to be on top form to get anything out of the game.

Fais Sam:, external Given Villa's recent goal return, the first goal (if one actually comes) is crucial!

This is looking every bit like a game between two sides short on confidence, not helped by the pretty flat atmosphere at the moment. Neither side are willing to take any risks and it is all pretty cagey.

    Jason Roberts
At Villa Park for BBC Radio 5 live

"Villa are committing players forward and when they do that the midfielders are eager to win that second ball. They are pressurising them all over the pitch.

"But for all of there possession and dominance they have not really tested Leicester, who have not got a foothold in this match."

  16. Postpublished at 12:46 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2015

Christian Benteke drops deep to pick up possession, he then tries to send Andreas Weimann clear but Mark Schwarzer is wise to it, racing off his line to claim.

    Former England captain Alan Shearer

"I know Tim Sherwood very well. He will bring energy and an honesty to Aston Villa. We saw at Spurs that he is not afraid to ruffle feathers and upset people, and that's what this club needs.

"He'll go in and tell people exactly what he wants. A big plus point is that he got the best out of Emmanuel Adebayor at Spurs - and he has to do the same at Villa with Christian Benteke.

"Benteke has had injuries and his confidence looks very low. We don't know if he fell out with Paul Lambert but he has so much ability. He has to be horrible to play against, and he has to start bullying defenders again."

    Jason Roberts
At Villa Park for BBC Radio 5 live

"Benteke is almost not wanting to go up against the centre-halves, he is drifiting into almost a number 10 position and Villa are looking to play balls to Weimann and Bacuna. Benteke does not want to go man for man and is drawing them into a false sense of security so they can play balls in behind him."

    Robbie Savage
Former Wales international, Match of the Day at Villa Park

"These Aston Villa players are very low on confidence, if Tim Sherwood goes in there and tells them how it is, some of them will shrink. Some of them will need an arm around them."
