Save..oh it's in! Scott Sinclair scores his first Aston Villa goal, with a big helping hand from Mark Schwarzer. The Leicester keeper has made some decent saves, but he won't want to watch this one again as he spills Sinclair's tame shot into his own net. A first goal since August 2012 for Sinclair.

Alan Hutton holds of Jeff Schlupp as the Leicester man tries to wriggle past him on the left, and then starts an Aston Villa attack which ends with Christian Benteke's low deflected shot held by Mark Schwarzer.

BBC Sport's Peter Scrivener at Valley Parade: The pitch here is already cutting up badly and we're only in the warm-up. City like to play football too though so it's hardly a huge help for the home side. No Jermain Defoe for Sunderland - is Gus Poyet going long ball?

"Since the change to 4-4-2 Leicester look like a totally different team. Matthew James has gone past both strikers to make a forward run. But it had to be done.

"Andrej Kramaric has really come alive since he has got a strike partner. He looks like a real player now."

What could a win against their relegation rivals, albeit in the cup, do for Aston Villa's confidence? They clearly have talented players, as shown by this second half performance. They've got 10 minutes to hold out for a potentially morale-boosting win.
