West Brom boss Tony Pulis has had a word in Saido Berahino's shell-like about his comments.

"He's been in the naughty chair - but he's okay, it's not too far from my desk," said the Baggies boss. "I've spoken to him and I've spoken to his people.

"The most important thing Saido has got to do is don't talk about what he wants to do - but actually go out there and do it.

"That's what all the good players do. They actually go out and perform on the pitch."

  2. Team newspublished at 11:27 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2015

Burnley boss Sean Dyche names the same starting XI for the 10th consecutive Premier League fixture. This means that Danny Ings will once again lead the line with Ashley Barnes.

Saido Berahino remains on the 'naughty chair' for West Brom following his ill-advised recent TV interview. The striker is on the bench so Stephane Sessegnon comes in to give support to striker Victor Anichebe. Darren Fletcher comes in for James Morrison in midfield to make his debut for the club and captains the side. Chris Baird come in to defence in place of Andre Wisdom.

Burnley XI: Heaton, Trippier, Shackell, Keane, Mee, Boyd, Jones, Marney, Arfield, Barnes, Ings.

West Brom XI: Foster, Baird, Dawson, McAuley, Lescott, McManaman, Fletcher, Yacob, Brunt, Sessegnon, Anichebe.

Burnley striker Danny Ings, like Saido Berahino, has also been linked with a move to Liverpool. He's also a target for Real Sociedad as well apparently.

In contrast to Berahino, we haven't heard a peep from Ings. He has kept his own counsel rather than get caught up in the publicity surrounding himself.

Gary Dunn: Our local team were 2-1 down and needed to win to avoid relegation with four minutes of injury time to play and we won 3-2, unreal feeling.

  5. A tale of two strikerspublished at 11:18 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2015

Burnley striker Danny Ings and West Brom counterpart Saido Berahino are two players who are catching admiring glances from higher profile clubs but are deal with their rise a little bit differently.

Let's start with Mr. Berahino. Now, he's been linked with the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool but thinking about a possible move is one thing but another saying it - a problem our Saido doesn't have.

Fresh from his drink driving ban, instead of keeping his head down he hasn't exactly enamoured himself to anyone at his current club by saying "he hoped to move on to bigger things". So. it's no surprise he's been dropped to the bench for today's game.

Former Tottenham midfielder Danny Murphy: "The gap at the top of the table is growing and the gap by the time Yaya Toure and Wilfried Bony return from the Africa Cup of Nations...it could be too late. They signed a player who can't play until February and it was a risk."

Former England midfielder Jermaine Jenas: "Manchester City have have been poor at home this season. They just didn't seem to get going against Hull and they were careless. There were mistakes all over the pitch and Hull forced them into those situations."

Manchester City are finding plenty of banana skins to slip on at present and yesterday was no different. Manuel Pellegrini's side went behind to Hull before needing a late James Milner free-kick to rescue a draw for them.

The result left the champions without a win in four top-flight games and seven points behind Chelsea, whose march to the title continued with a 2-1 win at Aston Villa.

"Jordon Ibe was fearless. He played on the right hand side, he was positive, energetic and productive. This was his second start in the Premier League. It wasn't a League Cup game against lesser opposition, it was the Merseyside derby. Obviously Everton were without Leighton Baines but he was absolutely fantastic. This kid can make that position his own."

Reds skipper Steven Gerrard was appearing in his 33rd and most likely last league game against Everton but it was a player competing in his first senior Merseyside derby in Jordon Ibe who caught the eye.

Ibe, making only his second league start for Liverpool, came closest to breaking the goalless deadlock with a strike against the post.

Former Tottenham midfielder Danny Murphy: "Harry Kane is so young, but he's so powerful. I'm struggling to see a weakness in the lad's game. Not just selected [for England], but build the team around him. His second goal...that's probably the best header I have seen this season. He's a big game player. He scored two against Chelsea and he's now got two against Arsenal. But Tottenham need to keep Harry Kane fit because if he's not fit, where are their goals going to come from?

Tottenham 2008 League Cup winner Jermaine Jenas: "His second goal was Shearer and Drogba-esque. You don't see those goals any more."
