"Wayne Rooney is showing some nice movement. He looks like he is in the mood, but United's players have to get some quality balls into him."

"There's only one David Moyes!" is the chant from the United fans...

Only joking. It is from the home fans though, in recognition of the stellar job Moyes did at Deepdale. Moyes is there tonight as a pundit.

Joe Garner has Preston's first shot on target, scuffing one at David De Gea from 25 yards. No purchase in the shot, but he can score from there. If you've not seen Garner's goal v Rotherham in the play-offs, check it out.

    An absolute cracker...

Sunny in Liverpool: That draw was probably Roy Hodgson's best performance for Liverpool.

Alec in Exeter: Assuming That draw could not have been any better for Brendan Rodgers and co.

Jon in Wirral: A great draw for Liverpool. Wembley here we come hopefully.

Preston need to make the most of their set-pieces tonight, even Louis van Gaal said that was United's weakness - but their first free-kick is overhit and right out of play. Understandable nerves and tension throughout the men in white, but they have at least stemmed that opening wave of United attacks.

There's no Phil Jones to whip those corners in tonight of course. Daley Blind is playing very, very deep, almost in the backline. Angel Di Maria then gives the ball away cheaply, not good enough for a £60m man.

"It's interesting to see Wayne Rooney taking set-pieces for Manchester United. I'm sure a few fans would prefer to see him on the end of things inside the box though."

Kevin Davies helps out his defence with a cracking clearing header and a foul from a red shirt ends a wave of pressure from the Premier League side. Preston cannot contain that amount of pressure forever. They've hardly had a touch so far.

Luke Shaw wins a corner for Manchester United as their fans start to sing about Wembley already. Deepdale hasn't been as loud as this for a long time.

Does the name Kurt Nogan mean anything to you?

Probably not. But when I was at university in Preston the mere mention of his name would light up the face of many a North End fan. Why?

Nogan scored twice against the mighty Arsenal to put Preston 2-0 up at Deepdale in an FA Cup tie. OK, so they lost 4-2 in the end, with Marc Overmars among the scorers, but Nogan's name lives on.

Who could be a hero tonight?

Deepdale is a sell-out tonight, and the strains of Elvis's 'I can't help falling in love with you' will be heard right across Moor Park and beyond.

It's a big night in Preston. The biggest since my graduation, I would say...

"Paul Huntington will be a big threat from set-pieces for Preston. Up front is where the dangermen are. Joe Garner and Kevin Davies we know all about and Paul Gallagher alongside them is probably their best player."
