    The Newcastle debate rumbles on...

Rob, Bath: Geordies deserve to go down, their lack of support of the team and their previous manager means they are as much to blame for the situation as the players. Can't ever claim they support through thick and thin, clearly only through the thick.

Tom W: Losing seven in a row.. it's fair to moan now, but hounding your previous manager out of the club is what led to this

Matt in Newcastle: People sick of Geordies moaning? Then tell us how should passionate fans should react after losing seven in a row?! Let's not forget a fifth straight derby defeat!

Matt in Warwick: How on earth does Rodgers have the nerve to say that we were outstanding today? The man is utterly deluded. Klopp or Rafa are miles ahead of him - praying for either of them to sort Rodgers' mess out.

Mo in Leicester: I reckon Leicester can manage to beat Real's 22 match win streak at this rate!

"We had chances to score, we just didn't have the quality to do so. We still believe. Look at Leicester, they were written off earlier on. The tide can turn and we will look to turn it next week."

On Richard Dunne's disallowed goal after Steven Caulker's foul on Adrian, Ramsey added: "He had to lead with his arm to jump for the ball. But his arm was not any higher or forward than it would be for a normal leap. There was no malice in the way he is jumping for the ball.

"Sometimes the referees have to realise the consequences of their mistakes."

  20. League Two reactionpublished at 17:59 British Summer Time 25 April 2015
