Stuart Allison: Last season Liverpool fans were singing Rodgers praises, yet now they call for his sacking..... Just saying

John Edwards: FSG's net spend over their 9 transfer windows is only £12.7m per window, that is not enough to really compete at the top level

Kelty876: Time for Brendan Rodgers to go I'm afraid, that performance is not good enough, clueless, toothless and worthless. #Klopp

Neil Crick: Given that the season's effectively over, Rodgers should play those players who will stay, and promote from the academy

Colchester United FC on Twitter:, external "What a crazy, crazy afternoon. #ColU went from 2pts from safety, to seven and relegated at that point, to 2pts at full time. Get in!"

The U's trailed Fleetwood 3-2 but scored twice in the final six minutes to keep themselves alive in League One - they remain second bottom.

Brad Guzan is 'having one' this afternoon. Goal is a lonely place to be when things aren't going well and the American has another shocking moment, getting his angles and his bearings wrong again and completely missing a cross into the box. Fernando has a free header in the box and heads it wide.

John Williams:, external Fsg have always backed Brendan. Spent 200 plus million on mediocre players. Liverpool are not a major player anymore.

Karn:, external Rodgers had a good year but the other 2 are awful & FSG model at fault. If Klopp will join, get him, if not give BR another year.

  7. Manager reactionpublished at 17:44 British Summer Time 25 April 2015

West Brom manager Tony Pulis: "Liverpool were very good in the last 20 minutes. The lads showed a lot of resilience and we are very pleased. We are pleased to get out and get another point.

"We had our share of chances but we will take the point. We had a poor set of results here before this game and that was down to the mentality more than anything - when people say we are safe with this and that.

"We are not good enough to take our foot off the pedal we have to be 100% all the time."

Norwich boss Alex Neil after his fourth-placed side drew 1-1 at Rotherham:

"I'm disappointed. I thought we were going to hold on. The boys stuck to their task well for most of the game.

"I will speak to [sent off] Lewis Grabban and that will be an internal matter for the club to deal with. We did well with 10 men."

Second-placed Bournemouth are at home to Bolton on Monday evening and a win would all but seal automatic promotion as their goal difference is 16 better than third-placed Middlesbrough.

  10. 'We're frustrated'published at 17:37 British Summer Time 25 April 2015

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes: "We're a little bit frustrated. We conceded a poor goal but after that I thought we were excellent, with a lot of chances and good play.

"In the second half they pressed us at the back and we needed to show more desire to get on the ball. We still had any number of chances but you have to put them away and today we didn't have that end product.

"I went with an attacking side today because we wanted to put them under pressure early… which we did after the goal. It takes us a point closer to our 50-point target."

Rob in Newbury: Rodgers doesn't get it. Last year he got lucky with Suarez, wìth United out of it, and Chelsea and Arsenal in transition. Look at Rodgers' actual managerial record. Hopeless.

James in South Shields: Re: Red Parsley 7 straight losses for the first time since 1977, £34million sitting in the bank at a club used solely as an advertising board for a billionaire's company. I'd say we have problems and a right to complain. It's not just these seven games the football has been dire for two years now.

    Sunderland

Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat: "The first half, Stoke were the better team and we were lucky it was just 1-1. They didn't create a lot but they had the ball and we were running behind it.

"We played a little differently in the second half and it worked well. We had two 100% chances and didn't score but every point for us is very important.

"Results have not worked in our advantage today so we have to do it by ourselves next week."

Janet Hopper: Liverpool need to get business done quickly in transfer window unlike last summer. Rodgers can do it but FSG need to back him.

Jake Saunders: No Brendan, Liverpool were not outstanding, they were pathetic. Try not to get those two mixed up.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche: "It's a cruel game sometimes. There was nothing in it in the first half. In the second, we created enough chances to win the game.

"We were written off one minute after getting promoted, but we've got the will and commitment. What pleased me today was the patience in the team to create good quality chances. There's growth in the side, but it has to lead to wins.

"It's a cruel business, and today we saw it at its cruellest. But things can change quickly. We've seen that with Leicester. We've been written off for the 57th time this year, but we can only focus on ourselves."
