"It must be, from both of these teams, probably their worst performance of the season on the big day."
Southend's Barry Corr almost gets on the end of a long throw. Alfie Mawson does so, but the Wycombe man concedes a corner. Can Southend snatch a late winner? They can't. Wycombe clear the corner, and play is stopped as Marcus Bean is down injured in the box.

"The lack of noise from either set of fans tells you there is a feeling that we'll be going to extra time here. It's all got very tense in both ends."
Wycombe centre-back Alfie Mawson sees yellow for a poor tackle on Southend substitute Joe Pigott.
A minute plus three minutes of stoppage time left.
Poor delivery from Joe Jacobson and Southend clear. But Wycombe win it back and work the ball to the left. The cross comes in to defender Aaron Pierre, whose bullet header is tipped over by Dan Bentley. Super save from the youngster.
Steven Craig is into the action straight away for Wycombe, launching a long throw into the box. It's headed back to Craig, whose right-wing cross is put behind for a corner by Cian Bolger.
Wycombe are taking off Hogan Ephraim, who's been a real bright spot for the Chairboys today. Steven Craig is his replacement.

A goal would certainly raise the temperature at Wembley, David. It's been fairly tepid so far.

Southend get a free-kick on the left touchline as Myles Weston is brought down by full-back Marcus Bean. Superbly delivered by David Worrall, and excellent defending by Aaron Pierre to nod behind for a corner.
Sam Saunders cuts a disconsolate figure on the Wycombe bench. The midfielder's play-off final lasted about six seconds before he was forced off with a calf problem. He's just appeared on crutches.
On the field, Sam Wood works an opening for Wycombe but he scuffs his shot from inside the box.
After Southend's Joe Pigott shoots wide from 20 yards, they are bringing on pacy winger Myles Weston for Will Atkinson. One substitution remaining for Shrimpers boss Phil Brown.
End-to-end stuff now at Wembley. Southend break but Barry Corr runs into traffic inside the penalty area and there are enough blue shirts back to clear.

"That's the best chance by a mile. He doesn't get any real purchase on it - no real power, and it's good defending to clear. Wycombe have definitely stepped it up - this is by far and away their best period of the game."
Possibly the best chance of the match so far goes the way of Wycombe striker Paul Hayes. Aaron Holloway finds Hayes in the box and the Chairboys' skipper tries to pass the ball into the far corner past Dan Bentley. But the Southend goalkeeper gets down nicely to push the ball clear.
Now penalty appeals at the other end as Hogan Ephraim's shot hits the arm of Southend captain John White. White was only a yard away and any decision against him would have been extremely harsh.
The first goal in this match is becoming more and more important as the seconds tick by. Southend are looking the more likely right now, but they've only seriously tested Wycombe goalkeeper Alex Lynch once in 73 minutes.
Southend growing into this game now. A cross in from the right picks out veteran defender Adam Barrett, who can only head over from eight yards.

"In a game of this magnitude, I can see why the referee didn't give that. There was contact, but whether it's enough to give a penalty, I don't know."
