USA 0-0 Japan (00:00 BST)
I just wonder if USA are going to be too fired up. We have seen tears at the anthems and then an emotional captain Carli Lloyd gives a rousing speech (from what we could hear) with the American team in a huddle.

Kyle thinks England have been the best team. Well they are coming home as we speak.
Wonder if they set the airport alarms ringing with their bronze medals?
USA v Japan (00:00 BST)
With the squad England have and what we have achieved, no matter who wins tonight England are the team of the tournament. I think USA will win 3-1 but I hope its a classic as the tournament has been brilliant and it would be a fitting finale of it was a classic. Also well done to the BBC on all formats for outstanding coverage.

And those fans are in great voice as the American national anthem rings around the stadium. The players are already tearful. Will they be able to hold it together and cope with the pressure.
The Japanese anthem is a much more sedate affair. Eyes closed, hands on hearts.
USA v Japan (00:00 BST)
The players walk out on to the pitch and it is a packed crowd in Vancouver. With it being only 50 miles from the American border this will be like a home game for USA.
There are expected to be 45,000 USA fans among a crowd of about 54,000. Can Japan pull off another shock and retain their World Cup trophy?

Quote MessageJapan are grinding teams down and waiting for their opportunity - the likes of Ogimi, Sakaguchi - they could cause the USA problems.

Right, forget The Rock (see 23:37), the America team has a much more famous cheerleader.
USA v Japan (00:00 BST)
So Abby Wambach is among the substitutes. But Carli Lloyd is in good goalscoring form for the USA with three goals in three games.
Quote MessageCarli Lloyd is massive to the USA, she likes to hold the ball up, finds spaces that no-one else does and gets herself in the box. She has great movement to get into gaps and she links up really well with the other players around her.

It is a big day for England-born Jill Ellis, the USA coach.
Ellis is a very popular woman with the fans in Vancouver and here she makes her way along the touchline for the match of her life, while one young fan offers a gentle reminder of the striker she wants to see in this final - veteran Abby Wambach.
Remember, Wambach begins on the bench.

Sue Smith
Former England forward
Quote MessageThe USA really want this one - and the fact Abby Wambach has won everything apart from the World Cup gives her even more incentive. We have not seen the best of Japan yet - against England they lacked a clinical finish but you cannot rule them out. I have not got any predictions right so far but I am going USA 2-0.

Quote MessageIt is about staying true to our mantra, and doing the things that got us here. Japan are very good on set pieces and constantly have numbers around the ball.

Natasha says the US deserve to be in the final. And this is how they got to Vancouver.
USA v Japan (00:00 BST)
Right, back to tonight's match.
Quote MessageIf you look at the top nations, I’d say the USA have been the most consistent and deserve to be in this final.

What about our BBC pundits? What do they think about the match? Well, we can tell you.
Quote MessageYou've got to get close to Japan and not allow them to play their quick passes. Also, in attack you've got to try to stretch the pitch and run at them because they are a very organised team. England did that very well in their semi-final meeting.
Rachel Yankey, Former England international on BBC Two
USA v Japan (00:00 BST)
One man definitely wanting USA to create some history today is wrestler turned Hollywood action star Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. He has chipped in with a brilliant / crazy / bizarre motivating video telling the American team how great they are., external It is well worth a watch.
Quote MessageThis is not a video to inspire you, you're already there, this is a video about how much you have inspired me and inspired the whole country through your passion, your discipline and your determination. I want you to go out on the field and remember you are the greatest in the world at what you do. You guys are rock stars. You are warriors.
