Pick that one out! Brilliant header from Nejc Pecnik as he clambers all over Kieran Gibbs to meet a back-post cross and thump a header into the net. The left-back was caught under the ball but it was a fine header.

Mathew Penistone: The goals cap a very good all round Wilshere performance. If Roy gives him a shield and says go play we will be so much better.

England just need to keep the ball? Shouldn't be a problem...

Jack Wilshere starts another attack and bombs on into the middle. 'Shoooot!' comes the cry from behind the goal.

"England need to settle now, they have worked really hard. Most of these players had finished their seasons a while ago so they just need to keep the ball now."

Who was the last England man to get a hat-trick?

Jack Wilshere would be an unlikely name to add to the list but he's on one now. England have 10 minutes remaining.

Slovenia skipper Bostjan Cesar is lucky not to be sent off, a sly elbow in the face of Wayne Rooney. That was nasty and the centre-half gets away with it.

Raheem Sterling almost cuts through but Gary Cahill can't return the ball.

That's the best England goal I can remember for some time.

Mind you my memory is not what it was. Quality goal though. Jack Wilshere needs to add goals to his game for England and Arsenal but that's three crackers he's scored in the last few games.

"Who says English players lack technique? Jack Wilshere has bent that into the top corner, what a beautiful finish. The whole crowd is applauding that goal. He is almost passing that with power into the net.

"Is he not wasted when playing in front of the defence when you see what he can do in attack?

"We are now saying Roy Hodgson is a master tactician, how quickly things can change in football."

"Very considerate of Wayne Rooney to allow me to stay second for a while, but I really would like to see him bang in a couple."

Rooney needs one to go level with Lineker on 48 goals and three to move above Sir Bobby Charlton as England's all-time top goalscorer.

    *Insert bus gag here

Jack Wilshere scores his second of the day and it is an absolute peach! A belting goal as Jordan Henderson finds Adam Lallana on the edge of the box, he backheels it into Wilshere's path and the Arsenal man pings a left-footed piledriver into the very top corner! Almost kissed the underside of the crossbar on its way in. A brilliant goal.

He's wasted in that deep role isn't he?

Like a poor man's Arjen Robben, Andros Townsend cuts inside on to his left foot and fires in a shot from 20 yards. He does not get bored of having a dig does he?

It's wide though. Theo Walcott a better option?
