That is Nemanja Matic's first Premier League goal since he scored in Chelsea's 6-3 win at Everton in August 2014. I think he likes playing the Toffees, don't you?

Anyway, back on the pitch and Chelsea are still doing all of the attacking. Everton holding firm at the moment, so it might take another wonder goal to force an equaliser.

We have got a game on our hands now. Chelsea have got their tails up and force a succession of corners after Eden Hazard sees his effort deflected wide. 

They take the last corner short but eventually get a cross in, which John Terry flings himself at and sees his header zip just over.

Here is Steven Naismith again, looking to get on the end of a Romelu Lukaku header inside the box. Branislav Ivanovic is there this time, though, holding off the Toffees forward before going to ground to make sure he wins a free-kick.

Look away now Chelsea fans. The defending champions could be 11 points behind leaders Manchester City if they lose at Goodison Park and City win at Crystal Palace later. It's early days but that's a big gap...

Chelsea, meanwhile, continue to toil. They have had slightly more possession in the first half hour or so - 55% to 45% - but they are yet to do very much with it apart from win a couple of corners... here comes another one, which Arouna Kone heads clear.

John Stones looks like he is enjoying himself too, neatly turning away from Pedro inside his own area. Pretty much everything about this Everton performance has been impressive so far.

Chelsea have got to find a way back into this game but they are still yet to force a save from Tim Howard - his biggest test so far has been fielding a fierce back-pass by John Stones.

Cesar Azpilicueta did just get behind the Everton defence but his shot was deflected for a corner. That is as good as it has got for the visitors' attack so far. 

Right then, for those of you just joining us... Steven Naismith only came on after eight minutes but he is already on a hat-trick.

"I don't think Asmir Begovic had much chance in getting that but my word. Everton lead by two.

"Everton played a string of passes in the build-up to that goal and there wasn't a Chelsea shirt in sight. Has there ever been a substitute come on and scored two goals in five minutes? Not bad that, really, from Steven Naismith."

At the moment it is all Everton. Arouna Kone brings a brilliant diving save from Asmir Begovic after rising unmarked to win another header. Moments later, James McCarthy brings another full-stretch stop from the visitors' keeper with his shot from 25 yards.

Right then, time to see what Chelsea have got in response. They are yet to test Tim Howard.
