"I'm not sure Paul Pogba was offside - he was trying to hold back.

"The ruling is though, that Mario Mandzukic has had an effect on Joe Hart, so the decision is correct. Really impressive start from Pogba. He's gliding through the pitch right now, he's run away from Yaya Toure two or three times already."

  2. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 19:57

    Man City 0-0 Juventus

    Ooooh a big call!

Juventus have the ball in the net as Paul Pogba stoops to head home Juan Cuadrado's cross. But the flag is raised.

Pogba was clearly ONSIDE but Alvaro Morata was offside in the middle. He went for the ball too, I think that's the right call.

    PSV 0-0 Man Utd

No sign of the earth moving for Manchester United in Eindhoven yet. Anthony Martial has been busy though, using his pace and strength well at times.

He's clearly a better option up front than Marouane Fellaini...

It has taken four minutes for the first goal of the Champions League group stages to be scored and Paris St-Germain's Angel Di Maria has got it. The Argentine winger races past defender Yoshimar Yotun before producing a clinical finish into the far corner. That's Di Maria's first club goal since he scored for Manchester United against Yeovil in January.

"Juan Cuadrado has made a brilliant start down Juventus' right wing. The lad is running with pure confidence. He looks nothing like the player we saw at Chelsea."

Is it too early to say Raheem Sterling (number 7) appears to be a little isolated?

Juventus grasping a bit of control back after a frantic start, they look very open every time City come at them though. No holding player in that midfield.

Baidu Sheikh:  Brilliant gamble by Martial at the near post. What we are missing.

Serge Tchwenko:  Superb save by Buffon! This could be a cracker.

Almost the opener! Easily done too as Memphis Depay is sprung over the top, at real pace down the left. Depay looks up and fires in a low cross, Anthony Martial gets across his man at the near post but can only get a toe on the ball, and it's straight at Jeroen Zoet in the PSV goal.

"Super save by Gianluigi Buffon. Manchester City broke through with such ease through midfield. That will be a bit of a worry for Juventus. They were cut to shreds.

"City have started with Samir Nasri on the right and Raheem Sterling on the left. That means Nasri is up against Evra - for now. Because that may adapt. Sterling's pace could be useful on Evra.

"And another thing - Paul Pogba and Yaya Toure are matching up in midfield - that really should be fun."

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 19:48

    Man City 0-0 Juventus

    City should score!

They win the ball back easily in midfield and Juventus are in real trouble. City have men over, Yaya Toure releases Raheem Sterling on the left of the box. His first-time shot is not the best though and Gigi Buffon saves with his feet.

Good save, but not a great strike.

Answers to the following question please:  'An English club will not win the Champions League this season, because...'

Freddy Harper-Davis:  Because we havent got the depth unless someone has an incredibly lucky run like Chelsea in 2012, Arsenal most likely to.

Andrew Griffin:  Because Chelsea are playing badly.

Kuntal Majumdar:  Because Platini said so.
