John Dunthorne:  Sterling looks out of his depth, and Bony too. City just do not do Europe, lack of confidence?

Tom Miszkowski:  What a piece of skill from Memphis.

    PSV 0-1 Man Utd

    Just call him Franz!

Chris 'Mike' Smalling sets off on a crazy run after picking Maxime Lestienne's pocket on halfway. On he goes, and still, and still! Beats the last man with a little turn, drills in the left-footed shot and Jeroen Zoet beats it clear.

What a goal that would have been!

Aleksandar Kolarov is running riot down the left for Manchester City - meaning Juventus winger Juan Cuadrado is being pressed back and struggling to make an impact in the final third. The graphic below shows Kolarov's movements (left) and Cuadrado's.

"Memphis Depay showed lovely movement in the penalty area, such quick feet to nip in between two defenders. It's a brilliant goal, and he did celebrate it - against the club he left just months ago."

Fernandinho almost opens the scoring for Manchester City with a rasping shot from just outside the area. He put his laces through that.

    Memphis Depay (41 mins)

This boy can play! In the Champions League anyway!

Another brilliant European goal from Memphis Depay. Daley Blind plays it into him on the left of the penalty area, he has so much to do but does it superbly. He glides in between two challenges with ease, gets the ball onto his left foot and slots into the corner.

A wonderful goal against his former employers.

Close! Juan Mata's delivery from the right is wonderful and Anthony Martial gets into space - but he heads wide after Jeffrey Bruma recovers well to put him under pressure at the last minute.

"I'm going to try and be kind to Wilfried Bony but I really can't be.

"That is dreadful. Absolutely dreadful. He's not just missed that, it was a good six yards wide. Awful. He must be trying too hard, with Sergio Aguero looking on from the bench."

Wilfried Bony's Manchester City career in microcosm. A great touch  takes him past the Juventus defence, it's a great chance, just need some composure - he blasts the shot high and wide.
