Man City v Sevilla (19:45 BST)

Manchester City are without top striker Sergio Aguero for a month with a hamstring injury and playmaker David Silva was crocked while playing for Spain.

Captain Vincent Kompany was only on the bench against Bournemouth at the weekend and there are doubts over Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy.

City have tended to struggle when their key men are missing. Well, who wouldn't? But it does seem to afflict City every season. Can they march on this week regardless?

We will have team news for City soon.

There has been a seismic shift in atmosphere in Manchester this week.

The clouds and rain which befit the city in many a stereotype have arrived after several months of conspicuous absence, the temperature has dropped, darkness has arrived - seasons have changed.

On Sunday the city's divisive and iconic sides meet in the Manchester Derby; United v City, the winner potentially moving to the top of the Premier League. Massive.

Will Sunday's derby overshadow team selection tonight?

But first a big night for both clubs, on European soil this time.

For Louis van Gaal's United, a mission to Moscow, venue of their most recent European triumph seven years ago.

For City, already fighting familiar injury concerns, a home game against an out-of-sorts Sevilla.

Both sides cannot afford to slip up tonight. But can they afford not to rest key men for that derby on Sunday...?
