Adil Rami own goal (36 mins)

City respond superbly and that's brilliant from Yaya Toure! Toure shrugs off his man right on the dead ball line and cuts it back, Raheem Sterling's drive is parried out by Sergio Rico. Wilfried Bony gets a shot away and it goes in off the heels of Adil Rami

    CSKA Moscow 1-0 Man Utd

It's shaping up to be another grim night in the Champions League for the Premier League. Antonio Valencia's cross from the right is deflected and Wayne Rooney gets there first but his shot is well charged down by the CSKA keeper - that's better from the men in black.

Atletico Madrid are cruising now as they add a quick second against FC Astana, Jackson Martinez firing home with a shot on the turn.

Meanwhile, Atletico's city rivals Real are involved in a tight battle with PSG, it is goalless in that clash.

    Man City 0-1 Sevilla

Yevhen Konoplyanka was a deadline day phone call away from joining Liverpool a year or so back - and you can see why Brendan fancied him. He's been the best player on th epark in these opening 33 minutes.

"Joe Hart was 100% impeded there. I don't know if he would have saved it but I think a player was in his eye line and physically impeded him. It does not help that Man City are getting torn to shreds down one of the flanks, but I think the officials have got that wrong. This is not five or 10 yards away from Hart, it is a yard away."

    CSKA Moscow 1-0 Man Utd

It has not been an especially great night for the Manchester clubs so far and it almost gets worse in Moscow.

Ahmed Musa shoots superbly from long range - it must be all of 30 yards - but David de Gea makes a brilliant, athletic save at full stretch.

    Yevhen Konoplyanka (30 mins)

It had been coming! Sevilla take a deserved lead as Vitolo walks into a load of space inside the Manchester City penalty area, he cuts it back and Yevhen Konoplyanka is in far too much room. He connects well, powerful shot and Joe Hart can't perform miracles this time.Sevilla striker Kevin Gameiro was in his eyeline - and offside...

Cheeky! Atletico Madrid are ahead against FC Astana as Saul Niguez back-heels in from Yannick Carrasco's low ball.

Atletico are currently second in Group C.

  10. Martial matterspublished at 20:14

    CSKA Moscow 1-0 Man Utd

No doubt that Manchester United are looking to work the ball down the left where Anthony Martial is stationed, but is he more of a threat in the middle?

Not the start Steve Evans will have wanted as Leeds boss as Fulham take the lead in the Championship clash between the two, Moussa Dembele managing to squeeze a shot in at the near post.

  12. CLOSE!published at 20:12

    Man City 0-0 Sevilla

One pass cuts City in two, one pass forwards and Bacary Sagna is caught out of position. On goes Yevhen Konoplyanka, into the area but his cross is deflected into the side-netting.

From the corner City's marking is not great and there's a half chance again for the visitors. A better side than Sevilla would have had a goal or two here...

There has not been much in the way of reaction from Manchester United to going behind. Anthony Martial continues to look bright - if maybe wasted? - out on the left. Wayne Rooney has not offered much.

That is good football from Manchester City, Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne link up neatly and pick out Yaya Toure 25 yards out. You know what's coming - one touch and then the hit. Clean strike, huge deflection and the ball loops onto the roof of the net. So close!

Manchester City may not be the soundest team at the back but they make for exciting games! Raheem Sterling shows out on the left for the first time, he beats his man easily and flashes a low cross tight across the face of goal but Jesus Navas can't get there.

"I am not sure if Joe Hart would have got to that. Had it gone past that near post Hart's hands were well inside the goal, so it may well have gone over the line.

"It is now total domination from Sevilla. They have turned on the afterburners and there is a real confidence about this team."
