    Man City 2-1 Sevilla

That could turn out to be a massive win for Manchester City! Sevilla had a host of chances and could arguably have been three up at one stage - but Kevin de Bruyne found the finish and now look in a good position to qualify.

Noel Fitzpatrick: De Bruyne is a wonderfully intelligent footballer...just what Chelsea want!!

Max Baggins-Craig: Oooooooh City are actually on the pitch after all, very good goal for Kevin de Bruyne, Chelsea were fools to let him go

"Manchester City have given everything they could. They have grown into the game more and more and if anyone was likely to score it was City. It came down to one missed tackle. After that, you could almost feel it coming. What a great time to score."

    Kevin de Bruyne (90 mins)

What a winner that is! Manchester City have huffed, and puffed, but lacked quality up front. Kevin de Bruyne adds that quality with a cracking finish on the counter attack as Sevilla looked for a second of their own. Yaya Toure breaks away, finds De Bruyne on the right of the area, he works a yard of space and then cracks in left footed hard and low...

Kevin de Bruyne puts over a peach of a cross right for Sergio Aguero - but he's out for a month with an injury! They have missed him hugely tonight.

Sevilla will feel that they should have won tonight. City have a huge game in Spain on their hands.

Wayne Rooney could certainly have no complaints if he were to be dropped, I don't think. The BBC documentary did him no favours - if only for reminding you just how exciting a player he was in 2004...

Taylor: Rooney has to be the worst performing player in Man Utd's side this season. As captain that is certainly not good enough.

Francis Edwards: Why does Rooney have to take all the free-kicks too? He's just really poor now and should have just gone off at half time!

Very, very quiet again tonight at the Etihad. For a side with generally such passionate fans there does seem to be apathy toward the Champions League. Or is it something else?

Five minutes left in Manchester too.

Good feet from Memphis Depay to whip in a cross, Anthony Martial knocks it back across goal but Marouane Fellaini is so slow to react and it's easily dealt with.

Manchester United are eight minutes from full-time in Russia. Since the goal they have looked to be in control but there hasn't been much goalmouth action at either end.

How rooney continues to start is beyond me. He has been consistently awful this season. Martial should be playing through the centre. Just because he is club captain doesnt mean he should be starting every game.

    From Jon in Dartford

When I'm older and my son or daughter ask me about watching the 'great' Wayne Rooney when I was younger, I'll tell them about how awful he really was towards the end of his career and how statistics can be deceiving!

Yaya Toure is playing as the centre-forward for Manchester City in the final 10 minutes. It goes without saying that they are missing David Silva and Sergio Aguero but even so this has been another tepid display in the Champions League.

A strange atmosphere at Etihad Stadium, where this  game remains in the balance. The Manchester City fans are awfully quiet at times, even when their side are on the attack, and it takes a lapse - like Wilfried Bony's lack of anticipation of a Raheem Sterling's throughball just now - to get them making the most noise, in frustration.

    Man City 1-1 Sevilla

This is an odd one - Wilfried Bony is off, and Fernando on. They have taken their only striker off.

Is this Raheem Sterling up front now? Or maybe Kevin de Bruyne, and Yaya Toure shifted into the hole. Just under 15 minuets remain,
