Still goalless between PSG and Real Madrid but Cristiano Ronaldo has just gone oh so close to scoring the opener. He has mainly be operating very central, but his best effort comes from the left side of the area as he lets fly with a shot that shaves the outside of the far post.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid have added to their lead, 20-year-old substitute Oliver Torres making it 3-0 at home to FC Astana.

    Man City 1-1 Sevilla

So, so easy again for Sevilla to get a shot off! Substitute Michael Krohn-Dehli just walks with the ball, for some 30 yards, right up to the edge of the box and then shoots into the side-netting...

  3. The move behind Martial's goalpublished at 21:17 British Summer Time 21 October 2015

    CSKA Moscow 1-1 Man Utd

Some suggest that when Man Utd bring on Marouane Fellaini it signals the start of direct football. That might be true but there was nothing wrong with the build up to Anthony Martial's goal, with United patiently creating the opening.

"Kevin de Bruyne is getting into the correct positions now. I think the little switch, getting De Bruyne more central and Raheem Sterling out wide, is working now. It should have been done earlier."

Just under 20 minutes left in Moscow. Is a point a decent result here for United?

  6. Postpublished at 21:15

    Man City 1-1 Sevilla

Kevin de Bruyne has moved into the 10 role and looks very dangerous now, as he picks up the ball and has a shot well turned away for a corner - which he then wastes.

Twenty minutes left - City need a win here...

    Man City 1-1 Sevilla

That's a harsh booking in my eyes as Kevin Gameiro tries to reach a shot from the edge of the box, he hits the ball with his hand but it was a genuine attempt to volley that home. Again - City were exposed down their right.

Charlie Fox: Valencia wide and cross and Martial scores. Why doesn't Valencia do that more often. Used to 4 years ago and made goals

Paul Humphreys: Isn't it great to have a proper striker for a change? Martial you beauty!!! A breath of fresh air

Annie's Closet: Point proved reference previous post about having Martial in the centre :)

Can Manchester City rally and find a late winner? They have not looked like scoring all half to be honest. That's better from Kevin de Bruyne though as he shoots wide from 22 yards out.

    Anthony Martial (65 mins)

Another skill to add to Anthony Martial's checklist! A really good header, in off the far post after good work from Antonio Valencia. Martial was free 12 yards out but he had a lot to do with that.

The best chance of the night for Manchester United! Jesse Lingard is played in by Ander Herrera - the offside flag is incorrectly raised against him - but even so his side-footed shot is very, very tame. Must do better,

One of Manchester City's favourite sons has had a poor evening and Pablo Zabaleta is replaced by Aleksandar Kolarov with 30 minutes left.

Better! Wayne Rooney and Marouane Fellaini do now link up, Rooney going close with a header and then finding Fellaini in space but his cross/shot is neither one thing or the other. Into the last half hour.

"I am sounding like a recording here. That was down the left-hand side once again, consummate ease. How do City not do something about that? You can't keep letting it happen. City have got away with it and you know what? You would not be surprised if City nick a goal now."

White Lion Radio: I would rather watch a box of fleas than United, it would be far more entertaining.......shocking performance.

Chris Tapsell: Marouane Fellaini coming on every other game as a 'Plan B' for Manchester United is about as depressing as it gets for a fan.
