    Tottenham 2-1 Qarabag

Just under half an hour left. Still a subdued White Hart Lane, only a Son-Heung min hat-trick will get them on their feet now.

    Tottenham 2-1 Qarabag

Spurs are a bit of a shambles at the back. Defenders are running around here and there looking a bit clueless. Kevin Wimmer tries to backheel a clearance, but it only finds Dani Quintana, whose shot is deflected wide.

Qarabag are still in this game. Don't write them off just yet.

    Chance for the hat-trick...

Son Heung-min rushes into the box and is found by Erik Lamela's clever ball. The South Korean tries a cheeky chip but Ibrahim Sehic is having none of it, easily catching the ball.

Apart from that magnificent 'rabona' goal in this very competition from Erik Lamela, his Spurs career has not really taken off.

The Argentine cost £30m from Roma and is now into his third season at the club. When will he start producing the goods? The quality is evident, but we just don't get to see it that often enough.

That was a great chance. Very unfortunate for Erik Lamela. That was a massive let-off for Qarabag

  6. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:13

    Tottenham 2-1 Qarabag

    Erik Lamela misses a sitter.

The Argentine starts the move from inside his own half, Spurs break clear with some neat touches. Lamela to Eric Dier to Dele Alli.

The move comes to the Qarabag area, Lamela is one-on-one with the goalkeeper, most of White Hart Lane are already up celebrating, but the shots cannons off the post and away.

A gilt-edged opportunity which really should have been tucked away and put this game to bed.

    Bordeaux 1-1 Liverpool

Some reaction from earlier. Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers might have been disappointed that his team conceded a late goal tonight but he was very keen to takes the positives out of the result.

Jordan Rossiter, 18 was in the starting XI while fellow academy graduates Pedro Chirivella and Cameron Brannagan both came off the bench.

"We had so many young players in the team – and some of these players were playing their first games – so I thought it was very encouraging," said the Reds boss.

"Coming away in European games is always tough to do, but with the lack of experience we had and a lot of the young players, I was delighted with that."

  8. CLOSE!published at 21:11

    Tottenham 2-1 Qarabag

Danny Rose's defending has not been to clever today, but he ventures forward and almost gets on the scoresheet.

His effort is well blocked by Ibrahim Sehic, who is a speedster when it comes to coming off his line. Very sharp.

Qarabag would be world champions at piggy in the middle. Their short, one-touch passing is a joy to watch. Quick, quick triangles.

Danny Rose is caught out in possession and Qarabag almost get a second, but Afran Ismayilov's ball into the box is intercepted by Toby Alderweireld.

Daniel Gravestock:  Had the pleasure of watching Dele Alli on weekly basis down here at MK Dons, he'll be a top player for Spurs this season

Gregory Mandapat:  Could be a good partnership up top for Spurs, Kane and Son. Or the name of a good business.

Andrew Kemp:  How many times is Lamella going to give the ball away tonight. Spurs not looking convincing at all.

    Bordeaux 1-1 Liverpool

Liverpool goalscorer Adam Lallana, speaking to BT Sport: "Before the match we might have taken a point but we’re disappointed. They scored with five or 10 minutes to go.

"A couple of the young lads did really well, Pedro Chirivella when he came on and Jordan Rossiter were brilliant.

"It’s a positive performance. We’ve lost our last two Premier League games and need to get back to winning ways now.

"It’s a point away from home. We need to win our next game in the league and in this competition and then things will look much better."

This was going to be no pushover for Spurs. The early goal jolted Tottenham. Once Son had scored they were right back in and the better side.

    Mauricio Pochettino is not impressed.

Andros Townsend, who has had a decent half, clips a nice ball into the box for Erik Lamela. He's got the freedom of the Qarabag box in front of his eyes, but fails to control the ball. Chance gone.

This is so, so good from Qarabag. Beautiful, passing move with a ball eventually coming into the box for Reynaldo, but the Brazilian number nine can't keep his header on target.

They really are a lovely side to watch on the counter. Full of pace and precise passing.
