"Kris Commons underlying the madness of the decision to leave him on the bench at Aberdeen on Saturday. Two assists so far and every time he stands over a corner Ajax gulp hard. His deliveries are causing the home team huge trouble."

Scrappy opening to the second half. Neither side getting their foot on the ball so far.

Philippe Coutinho's through ball to Adam Lallana has too much on it and the England international can't quite reach it.

The ball rolls to the other end towards Jordon Ibe, whose cross is cleared away.

Lots of empty seats inside the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux, but those that are in, are making themselves heard.

"Na, na, na, naaa - hey, hey hey heyyy!" Bet this place is bouncing when it's full.

Jordon Ibe tries to burst forward but is tracked well by Maxime Poundje.

Half time in Bordeaux but just to flag up, we've still got Tottenham coming up later.

The 'Harry Kane being able' cliches will never grow old. After bagging a shed load of goals for Spurs last season, it's been a struggle for Harry in this. Five games for Mauricio Pochettino's side, zero goals.

The Europa League was Kane's breeding ground, his impressive performances in this competition was what led him to being given a permanent spot in the Spurs side. Can he get back on the goal trail this evening? Was the lad just a one season wonder?

(Kane did score two goals for England in their recent September Euro qualifiers, one was against the footballing powerhouse of San Marino)

  13. Away day woespublished at 18:54

    Bordeaux 0-0 Liverpool

Liverpool's problems in Europe continue. Brendan Rodgers will surely send Danny Ings on at some point?

The former Burnley man will be hoping to play a much advanced role, having been an extra defender in the defeat at Old Trafford last Saturday.

The £29m man Roberto Firmino is also an option from the bench.

Martin McHugh:  Liverpool these days are just another team. Not a clue if they will win or not. Sad.

Griff:  Lacklustre, second to the ball, no real shape. Rodgers passing philosophy? Where is it?

Ar Vind:  How on earth did Liverpool turn into this? Sort it out Brendan!

That man Wahbi Khazri again, he really has been excellent tonight. Helped by the parting of a Liverpool defence, he runs through and lets fly, but his shot is straight at Simon Mignolet.
