"I couldn’t sleep last night. I just hope it goes well and we put on a good night for everyone. It’s the biggest night in the club’s history and hopefully a sign of things to come.

"I get much more nervous now then when I was playing as you’re not in control, it’s in the hands of the players. I’m hoping the lads haven’t done too much at work today, hopefully some of them will have had the afternoon off and prepared right.

"We are fortunate that these lads have had the cameras following them for the last year in the documentary so they shouldn’t be overawed."

Salford City v Notts County (19:55 GMT)

If you have seen the Salford documentary over the past week or so you may recall that Phil Neville was able to get young defender Sadiq El Fitouri a trial at Manchester United. It's not what you know...

Well, perhaps another of their young players may soon be heading up the footballing ladder as 21-year-old right-back Elliot Kebbie's CV stands out a touch.

He went to Atletico Madrid as a 17-year-old in a £500k deal before drifting back to England and then non league. Will he make it big again?

While an FA Cup run is all about the glory, for clubs lower down the football pyramid it also offers the prospect of a much-needed financial windfall.

It may prove to be a bad financial decision but Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt lived the dream when they bought their own club in Salford City.

There's a big lottery draw this evening - maybe you could soon be buying YOUR club.

There's a 1,400 capacity crowd in tonight, with 350 terraced tickets allocated to Notts County. Tickets were snapped up within four hours of going on sale. The highest attendance at Moor Lane this season so far is 636.

The owners tend to watch games from a mound of grass raised up at the far side of the pitch. Jimmy, the long-serving caretaker, has erected a white railing for them to lean on. Phil Neville says: “Gary calls it the Directors' Box now.”

It is almost exactly a year since the good men and women of Warrington Town dutifully served up an FA Cup upset to mark the return of the old cup to BBC screens.

If you recall, centre-half and plasterer Craig Robinson headed the winner as Warrington made light of a 100-place gap in the football pyramid to beat Exeter and reach the FA Cup second round at Cantilever Park.

Salford City are currently fourth in the catchily-titled Northern Premier League Premier Division, which is topped by Blyth Spartans.

Blyth were televised giantkillers last season on BBC Sport, beating Hartlepool 2-1 with a last-minute winner.

  13. Who are ya?published at 18:48

Salford City v Notts County (19:55 GMT)

Notts County need no introduction. They are the oldest professional league club in the world and won the FA Cup in 1894.

This season they are 15th in League Two under manager Ricardo Moniz and have former Manchester United stars in the team themselves.

Goalkeeper Roy Carroll and midfielder Alan Smith will be very recognisable faces indeed...

If you weren't aware, Salford City are part-owned by five former Manchester United players.

Gary and Phil Neville, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt bought the club in March 2014 and were later joined by investor Peter Lim.

As the BBC documentary 'Out of Their League' showed, not everything has gone to plan but the club were promoted last season.

When was the last time your club did something truly new? A first in their history?

At Salford City, making history is becoming a regular event.

If it's not Gary Neville refitting the toilet block or having a new burger stall built, it's reaching the first round of the FA Cup for the first time.

Will County get the job done? Or is it another famous night for the Class of '92?
