Manchester United fans will be pleased to know that as well as Javier Hernandez, who has scored 12 goals in 17 games for new side Bayer Leverkusen, James Wilson looks in terrific nick on loan at Brighton.

The 20-year-old scored a superb solo goal in the Seagulls 3-2 win over Charlton today.

Adnan Januzaj is having a rotten time of it at Dortmund if it is any consolation.

Some serious dissent brewing among Chelsea fans in Bristol...

Tom in Bristol: Personally I'm pleased to see Costa on the bench. He needs discipline and lots of it, good decision Mourinho!

Matt in Bristol: Jose needs to smell the coffee and get Costa on here.

Rich, Bristol:  So glad Costa has been benched. Chelsea are finally waking up to how much of a filthy player he is.

It sounds like there was a bit of afters between Leicester's hat-trick hero Riyad Mahrez and Swansea captain Ashley Williams post final-whistle in south Wales.

The two were rumbling around behind the scenes at the Liberty Stadium like a pair of professional wrestlers by the sounds of PA reporter Phil Blanche's tweets.

Manchester United had 21 shots at goal in the goalless draw with West Ham. Just one - a Marouane Fellaini effort - was on target.

The most wasteful Premier League performance ever?

    Nearly. But not quite.

Blackburn and Manchester United in 2007 and Everton in 2009 all played league games in which they had 23 shots with only one on target.

United performance today is fourth on that list of shame.

  10. 'Watford win and are still improving'published at 17:43

    Watford 2-0 Norwich

    Quique floresImage source, Getty Images

Watford manager Quique Flores, speaking to BBC Sport: “It was difficult to play Norwich. They put a lot of strikers in the pitch and played long ball. We tried to keep calm until the last moment and still counter attack. Finally I think the result is clear because we had a lot of chances – especially in the second half.

“The wind was very hard for both teams. But in the second half we protected the ball better. I think we played a good match.

"Odion Igahlo is not just scoring goals but he is also supporting the offensive system with Troy Deeney and is creating chances too.

"The players here have been really focussed since the beginning of the season. They are very positive, and it’s true that we have a lot of new players but they are very good professionals. And we are still improving."

    Chelsea v Bournemouth (17:30 GMT)

    Steve Wilson
BBC Match of the Day commentator at Stamford Bridge

"Bournemouth and Chelsea may only have taken a point each last weekend but both managers seemed well satisfied with that.

"Jose Mourinho declared it Chelsea's best performance in weeks, whilst Eddie Howe delighted in his side's character to come back against Everton in a game they twice seemed to have lost.

"You have to feel for Howe. There were always going to be some tough days for Bournemouth this season, but to have his most expensive signings injured and potentially be down to his third-choice goalkeeper seems particularly cruel.

"Bournemouth continue to ignore adversity and try to play with verve and spirit, but if they get anything at all at Stamford Bridge then Mourinho really will be at rock bottom."

    Alex NeilImage source, Getty Images

Norwich manager Alex Neil, speaking to BBC Sport: "The conditions didn’t make for a great game and they dealt with them better. There wasn’t anything between the teams. At this level the first goal is absolutely crucial. To give it away in the manner we did, it didn’t do us any favours.

"To lose 2-0 is extremely disappointing. As the game opened up we left more space at the back but that is the price you pay when you concede the first goal.

"Robbie Brady had a couple of good chances, there was a bad touch and a bad finish. There were wee bits and bobs throughout the game, but I don’t think we did enough."

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: "This Premier League is a battle. You have to give credit to Sunderland who were well organised and always dangerous on the break. It could have been one of those days, but the mental aspect was good and we kept concentration. Joel Campbell also scored against Swansea has since he has come into the side his contribution is very positive.

"We have to keep winning games and collecting points and hope that Leicester slip up."

  17. 'We deserved the win'published at 17:19 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2015

    Watford 2-0 Norwich

Watford striker Odion Ighalo speaking to BBC Sport: "We really deserved the win because we played really well from the first minute until the last. We are now going to push higher up the table but today is gone.

"I was a bit frustrated because I had a chance to score two or three goals. But that is football. The important thing is the team performance. We are very happy with the three points and we want to keep going."

  18. 'Solidarity is the key'published at 17:18

    Southampton 1-1 Aston Villa

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa manager Remi Garde:"It is a big point. We have suffered a lot, Southampton created many chances and we were under pressure for long periods. But we showed a very good spirit. I'm happy about that.

"The solidarity between the players and the desire to fight ant not concede, we didn't have that at Everton or against Watford. Southampton are a very strong side and we expected to be questioned and the answers we gave were very good.

"Sometimes you have to fight hard for 15-20 minutes at the start of a game. We were lucky but we did not give up.

"I prefer to have this solidarity in every game than have much more talent. Solidarity is the key when you are fighting relegation. If we show this spirit again we will get more points. The talent at Aston Villa is not the same as at Manchester City or Arsenal but they still lose games."
