    Garth Crooks
Former Spurs striker on Final Score

"The Premier League is up for grabs. Manchester City were tanked today at Stoke, Leicester are 2-0 up at Swansea, and Manchester United are drawing at home to West Ham - who could be 2-0 up.

"You just want United to take the handbrake off. Let's see you go and express yourself! Players with such ability are lacklustre, and afraid to play. I just can't understand it."

    Hear that?

That's the second-half starting that is. All set?

  4. Postpublished at 16:00

    Watford 1-0 Norwich

Former Wimbledon, Leeds and Chelsea midfielder and current portrayer of taciturn hard men Vinnie Jones is in the crowd at Vicarage Road.

He was heartily clapping as Troy Deeney rattled home a penalty for the game's only goal.

It's been a bumpy week for Real Madrid, what with their Copa del Rey expulsion amid growing pressure on Rafa Benitez. They're finishing it with style.

Benitez's side lead hapless visitors Getafe 4-0 at the break in La Liga; Karim Benzema has scored twice, his first goals in two months. Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo have added the decoration.

A bit of a surprise on the cards in Germany, meanwhile: Unbeaten leaders Bayern Munich trail 1-0 at fifth-placed Borussia Monchengladbach.

We've a dedicated European football live text for you to keep up to date with both of those matches.

  8. Championship updatepublished at 15:54

Brighton’s hopes of going back to the top are looking shakey as they are 0-2 down at home to Charlton, who scored after just two minutes.

Tom Adeyemi has doubled Leeds’ advantage just before the break at home to Hull, while Matt Mills also struck late in the half to get Nottingham Forest’s noses in front against Fulham.

Table-propping Bolton are 1-1 with Cardiff, while Wolves are 2-1 up at struggling Rotherham after Danny Batth’s goal on 44 minutes.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal departed to the dressing rooms at half-time to a soundtrack of polite, but unenthusiastic applause.

I'm not sure he will get the same if the scoreline remains blank at full-time.

  10. FA Cup second round shock?published at 15:53

Eighth-tier Northwich Victoria have just gone in front at League Two Northampton.

With 92 places separating the two sides, we could be heading for our first 'shock' of the round.

Still another 45 minutes for things to change at Sixfields though.

Elsewhere, there's been something of a shortage of goals, with only Portsmouth and Walsall in front.

Six games are goalless at half-time. Follow live text commentary here.

Please take a seat Ryan Bennett. The Norwich defender is planted on his pants by a lovely bit of skill from Odion Ighalo, but the Watford striker cannot beat Declan Rudd from a tight angle.
