    Southampton 0-0 Aston Villa

Sadio Mane has the latest in a long list of chances for the hosts but he blazes a shot over the top. Composure needed. Villa then do have an effort as Leandro Bacuna, playing at left-back, shoots wide at the other end.

    Swansea 0-1 Leicester

We've seen it so many times before. Jamie Vardy robs a defender on halfway - this time Ashley Williams - scampers in on goal, the keeper comes out, but this time there is a twist in the script.

Vardy fires low and hard but straight at Lukasz Fabianski.

His scoring streak remains at 11 straight games.

    Watford 0-0 Norwich

The first effort in anger at Vicarage Road as Ben Watson gets his head over the ball from 20 yards.

A decent low drilled effort, but it takes a hefty deflection wide off a defender's shin and Norwich goalkeeper Declan Rudd's knees stay clean.

    Dele Alli (15 mins)

Route one! You don't see many goals like this in the top flight any more, as Toby Alderweireld lofts a 60-yard pass right down the middle, a Hail Mary almost, and Dele Alli gets there before the covering full-back and volleys the ball home.

    Man United 0-0 West Ham

No Rooney is a big boost to the speed of United's play. To then add Fellaini is disappointing.

  6. Early goals in the Championshippublished at 15:13

Early goals already in the Championship, where Joe Lolley put Huddersfield ahead in the first minute at Birmingham. Seconds later, Ademola Lookman scored for Charlton at leaders Brighton, then Reza Ghoochannejhad made it 2-0 to the Addicks after five minutes.

In between this excitement, Wolves took the lead at Rotherham through James Henry.

    Swansea 0-1 Leicester

Leicester have scored some wonderful counter-attacking goals this season, but Riyad Mahrez's opener could not have been simpler. Former Arsenal boss George Graham would be purring.

    Man Utd 0-0 West Ham

Where would Manchester United be without David de Gea?! The goalkeeper comes to their rescue again as West Ham slice through with their first real attack of the day. Victor Moses streaks away from Matteo Darmian, in on goal, but De Gea stands up well and saves with his feet.

    Arsenal 0-0 Sunderland

Arsenal's defence are bumbling though these opening exchanges and are lucky not to concede.

Per Mertesacker is too slow to close down Duncan Watmore and when the Sunderland's forward's cross comes, Nacho Monreal clears straight into Stephen Fletcher.

The rebound slides just wide with Petr Cech struggling to make up his ground.

    Marouane FellainiImage source, Reuters

Marouane Fellaini remains a divisive figure at Old Trafford but the big Belgian has had two decent openings in the first few minutes. He's bobbled one shot wide and had a header over the top. When he's on it, he remains unplayable.

West Ham's own battering ram, Andy Carroll, has not seen the ball.

    Watford 0-0 Norwich

Etienne Capoue has copped an elbow to the back of the head from Norwich's  Graham Dorrans, but has shaken off the effects to resume in the Watford midfield.

    Nothing malicious in that.

Still shadow-boxing under the Vicarage Road lights.

    Swansea 0-1 Leicester

    Garth Crooks
Former Spurs striker on Final Score

"Kyle Bartley almost bumped his own player - Bafetimbi Gomis - out of the way at the near post, and the striker missed his defensive header for Leicester's goal.

"This is a lack of confidence from Swansea. And now they have put themselves really under the kosh."

    Southampton 0-0 Aston Villa

Dearie me, Aston Villa cannot defend for all the tea in China. Southampton have a corner, whipped in at pace and midfielder Victor Wanyama is all alone six yards out. He closes his eyes though and steers it over.

    West Brom 0-0 Tottenham

Oooh that is close as well! The Premier League is off to a cracking start this afternoon as now West Brom go close. It's all about power and pace, like a vintage Emile Heskey as Salomon Rondon shrugs off his marker, gets the ball onto his left peg and drives a rising shot just over the crossbar.

    Riyad Mahrez

This is not one for Riyad Mahrez's extensive showreel, but they all count.

The Leicester playmaker, stationed three yards out at a corner, shrugs a set-piece past Lukasz Fabianski as the ball breaks loose.

Leicester are top as it stands...

    Arsenal 0-0 Sunderland

    Sunderland should be 1-0 up.

The Gunners defence is undone far too easily as Duncan Watmore and Stephen Fletcher's runs draw their attention and Fabio Borini is left unmarked to advance on goal.

The Italian steadies himself, takes aim and crashes his low shot into Petr Cech's shins from 10 yards.

    Man Utd 0-0 West Ham

Jesse Lingard adding some much-needed pace and energy to the Manchester United attack in these opening stages. Can United steer some fans back onside this afternoon with a bright and breezy display?

  19. CLOSE!published at 15:02

    Southampton 0-0 Aston Villa

And Saints also flying early on. The porous Villa defence is already creaking as first Dusan Tadic shoots over and then Tadic crosses for Graziano Pelle to fire over!

Could be 2-0 down already. That Derby tally of 11 points looks a long way off for Villa...

  20. Postpublished at 15:02

    Arsenal 0-0 Sunderland

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - making his first start since an injury lay-off - is keen to make an early impact. Stationed out on the left wing, the Arsenal man has a little dart at DeAndre Yedlin.

    The Sunderland defender holds firm.
