Dele Alli just gives Aaron Ramsey a shove off the ball, a little unnecessary, and that's the first sign of needle. Ramsey is then targeted by another Spurs player as Kyle Walker trips him. Free-kick in a dangerous area.

Gary Cahill is the only man on the pitch on a booking. Do we expect a Premier League, derby-type atmosphere out there?

A light jeering of the intro of the Welsh anthem but not once it kicks in, loud and proud. Reverberating around the stadium.

Then God Save The Queen kicks in, sang with great gusto in the stands and on the pitch too. A more vocal England line-up than in years gone by. Once again Joe Hart is leader of the pack.

This is it. The real deal.

    Chris Coleman

Wales manager Chris Coleman speaks to BBC Sport: "We are only going to get three points of course, that's the most you can get. I can understand the interest as it's billed as the battle of Britain. But we have to take the emotion out of it. If we do that and play to our capabilities then this could be a good day for us.

"It's three games in close proximity so we were always going to change the XI. We are trying to make sure the guys are as fresh as they can possibly be for the three games. They all have a lot of experience. We are in a good place and looking forward to this challenge."

For a man who is carrying the weight of a team, a nation, on his shoulders Gareth Bale looks so relaxed at this tournament. It's very refreshing to see.

Maybe that's what a few years at Real Madrid does for you. A goal today would be a nice snippet to add to his bulging scrapbook.
