Have we got our dates wrong? Is the joke on us? Have we arrived at the TDD party early?
Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer
"Jose Enrique is currently training with Liverpool's first-team squad at Melwood ahead of tomorrow night's game at Premier League leaders Leicester City - pretty much confirming that the chances of return to Newcastle United have disappeared as quickly as they arrived.
"Word is Newcastle were not prepared to offer Enrique the longer deal he wanted and were only interested in a loan move until the end of the season."
Come on, clubs. Just five hours to go.
Don't leave us hanging. At least give us a Benjani-like tale.
Or somebody do an Odemwingie. Or appoint a managerial heavyweight.
OK, Manchester City... you're off the hook.
But everyone else - raise your game. This is TDD.

Liam Nield: Gutted that Guardiola is going to City. Really fancied him at United and now there's a risk of the gulf between us widening.
Kobby Ofori: Pep to City! No need to know who Man Utd goes for after LVG. Doesn't matter anymore. Sad day for me.

"So far it's been pretty quiet on Merseyside on deadline day. We await the outcome of Oumar Niasse’s medical at Everton but all being well that’ll go through for around £13.5 million. Aiden McGeady has gone to Sheffield Wednesday on loan until the end of the season, but not much else to report.
"Nothing happening over at Anfield at the moment with Jurgen Klopp saying earlier he doesn’t expect any incomings or outgoings, which means we don’t expect to see Alex Teixiera at Anfield just yet."
As if Eder announcing his loan move from Swansea to Lille by posing with a statue of a Great Dane wasn't good enough, he's also chosen former Middlesbrough striker Mikkel Beck as his agent.
Tremendous work.

Josh Hammond: My friend's sister's boyfriend's uncle's barber saw Paul Pogba on Sir Matt Busby way with a suitcase. Make of that what you will.
Jordan Thornberry: Just seen Thomas Muller exit Watford Junction station and get in a Volkswagen Beetle heading towards Vicarage Road.
Sean: Just spotted Isco in a Wolverhampton Newsagents picking up a pack of pickled onion flavoured Monster Munch.
I'd take that last one with a pinch of salt. Isco is well known to be more of a Wheat Crunchies man...
Exclusive interview with Guardiola's parents
“He has always been a leader."
Those were the words of Valenti Guardiola - father of Pep - when he spoke to the BBC last week.
"Already when he was playing with his contemporaries as a kid, he was the one orchestrating things, taking the lead. We didn’t know where this instinct came from, with him being so young," added Valenti, who showed the BBC around his home in Santpedor.
“He was born for football. He liked everything – cinema, theatre… but he lived and lives for football. It is like a disease.”
Mansfield Town
And the third Football League transfer to be announced at 17:30 sees Daniel Alfei leave Swansea City for Mansfield Town on loan until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old defender has made four senior appearances for the Premier League Swans.

Huddersfield Town
Huddersfield Town have brought in winger Elvis Manu from Championship rivals Brighton & Hove Albion on a 93-day loan.
Manu, 22, has made just eight appearances for Brighton since joining from Dutch giants Feyenoord last August.

"Watford are still hopeful of Rennes midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure completing their spending."
Stoke City
We've had word that Giannelli Imbula has arrived at Stoke. The Porto midfielder could become the Potters' record signing this afternoon.
If he can manage to use a pen on a wet and windy Monday night in Stoke, that is.
Chesterfield
As reported by BBC Radio Sheffield earlier, Chesterfield have completed the signing of Bradford City midfielder Gary Liddle for an undisclosed fee.
The 29-year-old has agreed what the Bantams have described as a "long-term deal" with the Spireites.
It's all gone a little flat, hasn't it?
If TDD was a bottle of pop, Manchester City shook it wildly at lunchtime with the Pep news. But the bubbles have died down and it's all gone a little lifeless.
Come on somebody. Sign a player. Nicky Hunt to Leyton Orient doesn't count.
Zakaria Labyad – Sporting Lisbon to Fulham
Alex Stewart
Football Manager computer game expert
"Quick, good at crossing, and ambitious, Labyad has the potential to be a good Premier League left winger.
"He has high ratings for first touch and dribbling as well, though he can be inconsistent and his teamwork and work rate attributes leave a lot to be desired.
"Highly tipped in earlier versions of FM, Labyad hasn’t lived up to his potential yet, but Fulham could have a real prospect if they get the best from him."
We have asked Football Manager expert Alex Stewart - a man who is no stranger to snaffling bargains and spotting potential, all from the comfort of his own laptop on the popular computer game - to offer an alternative perspective on the transfer market.
BBC Radio 5 live have gone for a trip down transfer deadline memory lane with former Tottenham and QPR manager Harry Redknapp.
Often spotted hanging out the window of a car, Redknapp recalls when he tried to sign Charlie Adam at Spurs....
"We'd given up for the day so we'd gone to a little restaurant around the corner from Tottenham's training ground," said Redknapp.
"Daniel (Levy) rang me and said: "Would you be interested in Charlie Adam. I can get him really cheap [from Blackpool].
"I said fine but how are you going to get Charlie? It's 9:45 at night! Unfortunately it was all too late."
And remember when Peter Odemwingie rocked up at QPR's training ground hoping to sign from West Brom?
"Peter made a big mistake," Redknapp added. "I told him to drive down because I was sure we were going to get a deal done. If he'd have gone to a hotel around the corner it would have been fine but he went to the training ground where the cameras were. That was another fine mess we got ourselves into."
Come on, admit it, you've missed Harry this year...
