Is West Brom's Saido Berahino heading there?

"I think it’s been mentioned we might have been in the market for a certain West Brom player," said manager Mark Hughes. "We expressed an interest and asked to be informed. West Brom have been quite consistent in their message that Berahino wasn't available."

    And Peter Odemwingie?

“There was an interest from a club in Odemwingie, but he didn’t think it was right for him. If we are able to get Imbula over the line we may look at some opportunities if we feel we can allow people to go, but we won’t know until later."

"Looks like a very quiet day at Derby County. Paul Clement has already made three signings this window and doesn’t anticipate anything else today. Might be a loan or two out, but that’s it."

We're getting all sorts of sightings on the UK's transport networks... but what would really make your sighting stand out is a picture.

You know the one... a selfie with a Manchester-bound Lionel Messi. A sneaky shot of a London-bound CR7 when he's not looking.

Abdoulaye Doucoure – Rennes to Watford?

    Alex Stewart
    Football Manager computer game expert

"A box-to-box midfielder with great stamina, work rate and determination, Doucoure is not especially cultured but would bring a strong physical presence to the Hornets.

"In FM, he’s seen as a decent Premier League player but his attributes for passing and technique are 12 or higher so he’s not a total clogger.

"Anything more than £3m as a fee would probably be over-the-top, though."

We have asked Football Manager expert Alex Stewart - a man who is no stranger to snaffling bargains and spotting potential, all from the comfort of his own laptop on the popular computer game - to offer an alternative perspective on the transfer market.

  9. Sow set for Hearts departurepublished at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2016

We've had one midfielder come and one go at Hearts this afternoon and now the Tynecastle club are looking for a new striker after agreeing to sell Osman Sow to an as yet un-named team in China for a fee in excess of £1m. The 25-year-old Swede has scored 11 goals this season and had six months remaining on his contract.

Pep Guardiola to be Manchester City manager

    Ian Cheeseman
    BBC Radio Manchester's City commentator

"I’ve been 90% certain for all the time Pellegrini was at City that he was minding the shop for Guardiola’s arrival.

"Just before the season started, in the hour before the first press conference of the season, Pellegrini’s contract was extended. I told anyone who would listen that it was just to stop the speculation.

"Although a contract may not have been formally signed, I believe a verbal promise has been in place for three years."

    So, where are we at?

It's been a quiet day really.

Apart from Manuel Pellegrini saying he'll leave Manchester City. Apart from Pep Guardiola being named as his replacement. Apart from Seydou Doumbia moving to Newcastle on loan.

Let's put some bait on our hook and land a big one in the next hour...

In case you missed it earlier, the chances of Saido Berahino getting a helicopter up to Newcastle are slim. Our BBC Weather team say it's not the weather to be landing choppers or light aircraft because of gale-force winds.

  16. Stoke move for Imbulapublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2016

    Juliette Ferrington
    BBC Radio 5 live

More from Stoke manager Mark Hughes on their move for Porto's Giannelli Imbula:

"We're hopeful. It’s progressed significantly quicker this morning. Last night it seemed to be a bit difficult. We hope that at some point in the day we’ll be able to announce a big signing.

"He's a good young player, good range of passing - someone who will come in and add to the quality we've got. It's not something we’ve jumped into in the last minute.

"There's been a lot of work done in the last month. You never say never, but he's travelling as we speak and we hope to get it concluded some time today."
