Simon, Torquay: Wow. Massive statement of intent from City. Can't wait to see Pep there but Pellegrini is showing a lot of dignity and class though. Hopefully the players will want to play for him before he goes & give him a good send off. Quadruple would be nice please lads...
Manchester City
Just joining us? Surely you've heard about Pep Guardiola becoming the new Manchester City manager (from next season).
BBC alerts and all that (see what I did there?).
Anyway, we've been speaking to Eidur Gudjohnsen, who played under Pep at Barcelona.
The Icelandic striker, speaking before the news broke, said: "I think whatever team he goes to he will be successful. For me, it's almost a certainty.
"He knows the game inside out, he spends a lot of time focusing on details, how you can hurt the opposition... In his first season with Barcelona we were very, very successful and he's taken it from there."
Neil expects Bamford to shine at Norwich
Norwich City
Norwich manager Alex Neil has just been talking about his decision to take Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford on loan until the end of the season.
Bamford scored 17 Championship goals on loan at Middlesbrough last season, but failed to start a Premier League game during a loan spell at Crystal Palace earlier this season.
"He's a player we were quite keen on in the summer and he has a proven pedigree of scoring goals," said Neil. "He didn't have game time at Crystal Palace and you can't score if you don't play.
"We saw first hand how good he is last season and we are hoping he can take the step up and score goals at this level."
Patrick Bamford played for Middlesbrough against Norwich in the Championship play-off final in May 2015
Seydou Doumbia
Simon March
Fantasy Football Champion
"Ivory Coast international Seydou Doumbia’s loan move to Newcastle will bolster Steve McClaren’s forward options ahead of a challenging run of fixtures.
"While this tough run may dissuade fantasy managers from investment for the time being, Doumbia averaged over a goal every two games during his two spells with CSKA Moscow, demonstrating his goalscoring potential.
"If he can establish himself ahead of Aleksandar Mitrovic as Newcastle’s forward of choice, Doumbia could emerge as an interesting fantasy football option."
Oxford United
Having left Rotherham United earlier today, Scotland international forward Chris Maguire has joined League Two promotion hopefuls Oxford United for the rest of the season.
Swansea City
Right... our spies (you!) have spotted Dwight Gayle on a Swansea-bound train. We've had two potential sightings. The third spotter needs to send in a picture. Tell Dwight that Marc asked. He won't mind*...
* But he also won't know who Marc is!

Latest on Saido Berahino's future
West Bromwich Albion
We are all waiting to hear if Saido Berahino will stay at West Brom, especially after Newcastle bid £21m for the striker.
Baggies assistant head coach David Kemp has just faced the media and does not believe Berahino will be leaving.
"He is in the squad for tomorrow's game (against Swansea)," says Kemp. "I would expect that, I haven't heard anything different and I expect him to be around for the rest of the season.
"He has a dead leg and he came in for treatment and then went home. Like all footballers, no-one likes being injured, especially after just getting back into the team."
Dave Kemp? Wasn't he in Spandau Ballet?
