The Ecuadorian is giving his Spanish opponent a torrid time, running this way and that, Azpilicueta doesn't know if he's coming or going.

Villa now six-and-a-half hours without a goal. Many fans were not entering the stadium until the seventh minute in protest at the way the club is run.

25 minutes in and still plenty of empty seats, it's just as well they haven't turned up because this had been an absolutely terrible match so far.

Scott Dann has a tame header saved from a corner as both sides continue to threaten sporadically. It's an entertaining enough game at Selhurst Park.
