Danny Rose is loudly booed by the Stoke fans as he takes an early touch, not sure why but he wins a free-kick in the process. Stoke clear it easily enough though and get the ball down. Lovely atmosphere. Proper stuff.

Shay Given is the seventh oldest Premier League debutant. Not surprisingly goalkeepers dominate the list, with Kevin Phillips at Palace the only outfield player on the list.

Stoke boss Mark Hughes: "We have done well against teams at the top all season, we are a match for anybody but we will have to play exceptionally well tonight.

"Jakob Haugaard has done really well, he had some focus placed on him after the Liverpool game, unfairly in my view. He is ahead of his development but we have to protect him. We will benefit from Shay's experience tonight."
