The players have arrived at Windsor Park in Belfast. Soon the ground will be full of enthusiastic supporters ready to give their Euro heroes a fitting send-off.

Michael O'Neill's men have one more match, away to Slovakia on 4 June, then it's off to France.

One of the 23 players set to be selected by Michael O'Neill isn't at Windsor Park tonight. Millwall's Shane Ferguson has Sunday's League One play-off against Barnsley to deal with first.

Northern Ireland striker Kyle Laffery has a lovely message for the world if you digest his Twitter page: "Special night for me tonight. Winning my 50th cap for my country. Been some ups and downs but the feeling you get when you pull on the green shirt words can't describe it. Hopefully get a goal to mark an amazing week for myself and glad my wife and mother in law will be watching."

So Marcus Rashford makes his first England start but what does that mean for Daniel Sturridge? Studge has been struggling with a calf injury and isn't even on the bench. If Rashford has a stormer - combined with Sturridge's injury problems - would the youngster be the better option for Euro 2016?

In midfield, Danny Drinkwater, Jordan Henderson and Jack Wilshere each start with at least one of them likely to be cut from squad when Roy Hodgson trims it to his final 23.

It should also be interesting to see how Chris Smalling and John Stones get on in the centre of defence as Gary Cahill is out with a hip problem.

Only three of the side who beat Turkey on Sunday have started this game.

A simple topic of debate tonight - which players from England, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are in need of a good performance to force their way into the final 23?

Who is one bad half away from watching the tournament on the sofa like the rest of us? Who needs a goal?

"Northern Ireland boss Michael O’Neill has settled on the 23 players selected for the Euros.

"By all accounts, PFA Fans’ League One player of the season, Will Grigg of Wigan, and MK Dons full-back Lee Hodson have claimed the last two places thought to be up for grabs.

"O’Neill is keen to avoid defeat tonight, valuing the momentum built up during a record run of 10 matches without losing. But the boss’s biggest wish is for everyone to come through injury-free.

"The players are assured a noisy send-off tonight from Belfast where Euro fever has really taken off."

It's the last game before Roy Hodgson names his final squad of 23. For the five or six players on the bubble it's a dilemma tonight.

Like a youngster in a trial do they go for broke? All-out skills, try desperately to score?

Or stick to the gameplan, play it safe but risk being overlooked?

Marcus Rashford makes his England debut here at The Stadium Of Light - and the 18-year-old Manchester United striker now has a real opportunity to stake a late claim for inclusion in manager Roy Hodgson's Euro 2016 squad.

And his chances may just be increasing as injury doubts continue to surround Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, who has a calf injury and does not even make the bench against Australia.

  16. No fear for Rashfordpublished at 18:32 British Summer Time 27 May 2016

    England v Australia (19:45 BST)

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford can "play with no fear" on his England debut, says former winger John Barnes.

Barnes - who was 19 when he won the first of 79 England caps in 1983 - also warned of the dangers of putting too much pressure on young players.

"You have to be very careful," he said.

"If young players don't perform we're too quick to write them off."

He could dribble even better then he could rap.

But the 52-year-old believes Rashford can replicate the form of his breakthrough season at Old Trafford, during which he scored eight goals following his February debut.

"If he plays, he should play with no fear, no pressure," Barnes told BBC Radio 5 live. "He's under no pressure whatsoever. I think he'll do OK because he's handled the Manchester United situation fine."

Marcus Rashford will become the 10th youngest player in England's history this evening when he makes his debut at the age of 18 years and 209 days old.

Just a few months ago Rashford was yet to play a professional game. He was way down the pecking order, behind Will Keane in the race for a place up front for Manchester United.
