  1. Xhaka throws bottle after being substitutedpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 11 June 2016

    Albania 0-1 Switzerland

If you're taken off in your country's first game at Euro 2016, this is what you probably feel like doing, even though you know you shouldn't...

    Albania 0-1 Switzerland

Albania may feel slightly unfortunate not to have been awarded a penalty a few moments ago. Ermir Lenjani - who wears a number three but plays high up the pitch - tried to ghost into the area and meet a ball played over the top, prompting Stephan Lichtsteiner to grab hold of him.

I'll file that in the 'seen them given' category. It didn't look like much at the time but replays do show some grappling.

    Albania 0-1 Switzerland

Haris Seferovic is in behind again, he's stolen a few yards on his man but has a race on to beat the Albanian keeper to the ball. The pair arrive at the same time and Seferovic flicks the ball past the stopper but it's not on target.

Xherdan Shaqiri, right side of the area, he stands his man up and shapes to cut inside but then fires a low shot at the near post nice and early. It's saved and helps at the second attempt.

Over 100 touches for Granit Xhaka today, the closest to him is Albania's Amir Abrashi on 62.

One point of note though, none of Xhaka's work has been in the box so Arsenal fans may not see their new man firing in 20 a season.

Aaron Theaker: Really not been impressed with Switzerland today, Albania have responded to well to that red card though.

  7. 'Wonderful vision'published at 15:36 British Summer Time 11 June 2016

    Trevor Sinclair

"It is a poor effort but that ball from Elseid Hysaj was unbelievable. It was an intricate pass, wonderful vision and deserved a goal at the end of that. That might be the last chance for Albania."

They linked up to create Albania's best chance in the first half and they do it again here. Right back Elseid Hysaj plays a lovely reverse pass into the path of Armando Sadiku and from an angle, eight yards out, he finds only the side netting.

Sadiku has had two chances he could have only dreamed of. What are Switzerland thinking? They must kill this off.

    Albania 0-1 Switzerland

Breel Embolo receives a pass some 18 yards out and shapes to curl one right footed into the top corner. It's not a bad effort and loops a little over the bar. Switzerland are not pulling up trees to find a second goal. There's definitely one out there for them if they want it.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 73 mins

    Albania 0-1 Switzerland

Persistent defending by Ricardo Rodriguez at left back for Switzerland as he tussles with Odise Roshi and thwarts his man on the dead ball line.

Albania are preparing another change...it's Roshi coming off for Sokol Cikalleshi, who I believe is a target man.

  11. Arsenal's bargain?published at 15:29 British Summer Time 11 June 2016

Arsenal new boy Granit Xhaka has created as many chances as anyone else, played the most passes on the pitch and had more touches than any player.

Albania force a corner and the delivery is good, right into the six-yard box but a good header away by Fabian Schar.

  14. Haris Seferovic shot palmed to safety by keeperpublished at 15:27 British Summer Time 11 June 2016

Haris Seferovic has had four shots, all on target. He's been frustrated by the Albania keeper all day.

"Breel Embolo played a very good ball to Haris Seferovic and it was brilliant play from the keeper. From that initial mistake in the first half, Etrit Berisha has done very well."

How many shots does Haris Seferovic need? Yes, that's the way Haris, you kick the post in frustration son as your finishing has left a little to be desired.

This time he's slipped in and has half the field to run with the ball - a lot of thinking time. He goes to side foot the ball past Etrit Berisha at the near post and fails, that's a smart save with the legs.

  18. 'He could've had two yellows'published at 15:23 British Summer Time 11 June 2016

    Albania 0-1 Switzerland

    Trevor Sinclair
Former England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

"Taulant Xhaka has covered a lot of ground and I think it is good management by their manager Giovanni De Biasi to take him off.

"His replacement Ergys Kace could've got two yellow cards - one for pulling Valon Behrami's shorts and another for the challenge."

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 63 mins

    Albania 0-1 Switzerland

Ergys Kace has been on a matter of seconds when he botches a touch to allow Valon Behrami to run at the Albania defence. Kace goes for the rugby tackle and fails so he just chops his man down.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 62 mins

    Albania 0-1 Switzerland

Taulant Xhaka is off the pitch, so we now just have one Xhaka brother on the field. He's had plenty of coverage has Taulant given his family situation today but he seems to want a bit more as in disgust, he throws his water bottle after being replaced. To put it mildly, he is fuming.
