England manager Roy Hodgson has brushed off comments made by Wales players in the build-up to Thursday's Euro 2016 game between the sides.

Gareth Bale claimed that Wales have more passion than England, while Aaron Ramsey said he felt the Welsh players are better on paper.

Hodgson says he welcomes the "spice" and "interest" in a fixture "between brothers", adding: "I don’t have doubts about our desire, passion and commitment. If people have another opinion then that's fine by me. It's not worthy of comment.”

"Exactly what Romania wanted. They got the penalty out of nowhere, and will hold on tight to this lead. Soak up a bit of pressure, try and take a chance on the break.

"But in the second half I'd expect to see Switzerland enjoy a similarly large amount of possession to the first. They've played well, with good intensity and have had plenty of the ball. The question is: Can they get that goal?"
