Let's not forget this was a Croatia side without Luka Modric and Mario Mandzukic. Hugely impressive and the players are celebrating wildly on the pitch. Why not? They've just beaten the reigning champions.

Gregory Mandapat: Slight deflection but David de Gea should have saved that. Very poor from one of the best keepers in the world.

Daniel Woodley: Ivan Perisic is one of the most underrated players in world football. Has been top class tonight for #CRO, external

It starts from a wonderful block from Darijo Srna right on the edge of his own box.

It's carried up the pitch, you're thinking 'is Ivan Perisic cutting it back?' - no.

David de Gea makes it easy for Perisic and shouldn't be getting beaten at his near post. Take nothing away from Perisic, what a wonderful player he is.

I think Croatia have deserved it, Spain have played some good football, easy on the eye, but not clinical enough in front of goal.

The game is scheduled to take place next Monday. That's when England next play. Get it booked off.

Nick Evans: 'Favourite' teams this Euro? 1)Wales 2)Croatia 3)Albania 4)Italy

John Roberts: Enjoying the third place table side-show! Spices things up rather than clean-cut top-2-go-through scenario of old.

Josh Jones: Corluka's head wound and Will Grigg have been the defining stories of the Euros so far - never thought I'd say that!

    Hello...!

What a finish to this game! Spain's attack breaks down and Croatia embark on a swift counter, the ball is worked to Ivan Perisic and he strides into the area, before mustering the energy to beat David de Gea at his near post.

Can anybody get a winner here? If Croatia get it it's absolutely massive because they will win the group.

Spain have been Spain, passed it as we know they can, but not been as clinical as they normally are. Croatia have stayed with it.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 85 mins

Cesc Fabregas barely put a foot wrong tonight, but he's not quite influenced this half as much as he did the first and he's coming off for Spain.

Thiago Alcantara takes his place on the pitch with five minutes left.
