David Silva in actionImage source, Reuters

David Silva is knocked off the ball just outside the D by Marko Pjaca. Free-kick Spain. Silva is over it, but smacks the ball into the wall. That's about the only disappointing thing he has done so far in this game.

    Czech Republic 0-1 Turkey

Turkey have had one touch in the Czech Republic area - at the top of the graphic, near the six-yard line.

It was a crucial one too. It separates the sides.

Pavel Kaderabek shoots at goalImage source, Reuters

The Czech right-back is in, Pavel Kaderabek ghosts past a challenge to run in on goal - a bit like Neil Taylor last night.

Much like the Wales left-back though he looks like he hasn't a clue what to do up there and pokes a tame shot at the keeper.

    Croatia 0-1 Spain

David Silva is at his marauding best tonight. He's controlling things in midfield for Spain and getting everywhere.

For Spain's opener, he made the crucial pass from the right, this time he is over on the left, turning and running at the Croatia defence before shooting at goal, but it's a good save by Danijel Subasic.

    Emre Mor reactsImage source, Reuters

Emre Mor - remember the name. Built like Aaron Lennon, but my word can he shift. It's been a while since I've seen a winger as fast. The Czech defence don't know what to do with him and resort to Plan B - a crack across the shins. That might slow him down.

Sergio Ramos is on a yellow and if he gets booked in this game, then he will miss Spain's last 16 game.

Apparently Vicente del Bosque offered him the chance to sit out this clash but he said no, and that he wanted to play.

    Top commitment.

Burak Yilmaz lies on the pitchImage source, Reuters

Turkey goalscorer Burak Yilmaz yelps in pain as he goes down in midfield, and you can see why. Not for the first time in this tournament a player loses his footing, and he slips and slides into rolling his ankle. He's soon back up, not happy that a free-kick wasn't given.

There's a strong suspicion that we are in for a thriller in Lens. Neither side look particularly secure at the back which always spells danger. Czech Republic rattle the Turkish woodwork from a corner as centre-half Tomas Sivok climbs like a vintage Steve Bould to head down and hard.

Tom Hayes: Spain, 1993 called..They want their kit back.

Steven F Galloway: From a distance the Spanish side look like they've struggled with a messy pre-match bolognese.

    John Hartson
Ex-Wales striker on BBC Radio 5 live

It's almost breathtaking the passing from Spain. The weight of the pass, which is underestimated in the modern game. Just the right weight to get the striker to run on to, it's a real art, a real skill.

The appreciation of the pass as well. If the defender is to your left, good players will pass the ball to your right.

How did this not go in!?

David de Gea is caught in possession by Nikola Kalinic, who scoops the ball to Ivan Rakitic. The Barcelona man goes for the lob and the ball hits the underside of the bar and the post, bounces down on the line before Spain clear up.

    Croatia very unlucky there.

Emre Mor, who set up that opener for Turkey is just 18. He only made his professional debut for Danish side Nordsjaelland last November. He's had an amazing rise.

...but it is Croatia who have a chance. A good one too as Ivan Perisic lets fly from 30 yards. The shot is powerful and swerving, but David de Gea dives to push it behind.

One more Turkey goal would finally put an end to Albania's chances of making the last 16. The poor lads have been hanging about since Monday night as it is.

    Croatia 0-1 Spain

A valiant tactic by Croatia to play such a high line, but that goal came from Spain taking full advantage of gaps at the back and they are continuing to look to exploit them now. Spain look hungry for a quick second.

What a great goal! Emre Mor, who has just been signed by Borussia Dotmund, shows just why the Bundesliga giants have snapped him up with a jinking, pulsating run down the right wing. He then has the presence of mind to wait a split second for backup before finding Burak Yilmaz in the middle. he still had plenty to do - and did it well. Steered into the corner. Lovely.

What a start by Spain, and what a goal.

It's a simply delicious move which is started by Cesc Fabregas. His attempt to thread a ball through the defence is blocked but David Silva picks up the ball on the right of the area.

Silva holds it up, Fabregas continues his run and Silva times his ball to perfection to find the midfielder in the area. Fabregas shoots across goal and Alvaro Morata is there to touch home.
