  1. Postpublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 21 June 2016

    Czech Republic 0-1 Turkey

As it stands, Uefa tell me that Turkey would definitely be out, even with a 1-0 win. But we're a bit befuddled as it looks like they could still finish with a better record than the third-placed team in Portugal or Sweden's groups.

Can we just make it either 16 or 32 teams please?

  2. 'Great break from Croatia'published at 20:49 British Summer Time 21 June 2016

    Croatia 1-1 Spain

    John Hartson
Ex-Wales striker on BBC Radio 5 live

Brilliant work from Ivan Perisic out on the left, comes onto his right foot and dinks the ball into the front post.

Nikola Kalinic gets across the front post like all good strikers should do, in front of Sergio Ramos.

Spain miss a chance to go two up at one end, Croatia break, great play and it's level.

Having gone in front, you're thinking they could go on and get more goals - they've been a little bit wasteful in front of goal, 1-1 is probably about right on the balance of play in that first half.

That was a cracking half of football in my book. Finally two sides going for it and playing some eye-catching stuff to boot.

Unfamiliar feeling for Spain. That Croatia goal is the first they have conceded at a Euros since their opening group game at Euro 2012.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 21 June 2016

    Czech Republic 0-1 Turkey

As it stands this result doesn't help Turkey much. They need more goals to have a chance...

GOAL - Croatia 1-1 Spainpublished at 45 mins

    Nikola Kalinic

    Lovely finish!

Croatia are level with a peach of a strike by Nikola Kalinic, the former Blackburn man expertly volleying in at the near post from Ivan Perisic's perfect cross.

  7. Postpublished at 44 mins

    Croatia 0-1 Spain

Cesc Fabregas picks the lock and unlocks Croatia's defence with a pass right through the middle. It's perfectly weighted for Alvaro Morata, but his first touch is horrible and he pushes the ball to Croatia keeper Danijel Subasic. Should have done better.

  8. 'Juanfran's crossing poor'published at 20:44 British Summer Time 21 June 2016

    Croatia 0-1 Spain

    John Hartson
Ex-Wales striker on BBC Radio 5 live

It's not his biggest asset, Juanfran, crossing the ball. Several times tonight he's had the chance to put a good ball in.

He's a brilliant defender, but I wouldn't say it's his biggest asset, getting forward and crossing the ball.

Spain have looked great going forward, but they've not quite matched it in defence. Another half-chance for Croatia as Darijo Srna crosses and Ivan Perisic rises to get his head to the ball, but can't direct it on goal.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 39 mins

    Czech Republic 0-1 Turkey

Willie Collum is definitely going to be using that red card by the end of the night. David Pavelka is booked for a very late foul...

Pavelka then goes through Emre Mor 45 seconds later! Brainless. But he gets away with that one.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 38 mins

    Czech Republic 0-1 Turkey

What a hit that is! Jaroslav Plasil - who scored in the meeting of these sides eight years ago - exchanges a one-two with Borek Dockal and then crunches a rising left-footed drive from 22 yards, arcing into the corner with a hint of late swing. Volkan Babacan makes a really top-class save. Pushes it out.

  12. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Croatia 0-1 Spain

Anyone thinking Alvaro Morata would be good addition to the Premier League next season, forget about it. The Juventus striker has just today re-signed for Real Madrid.

He is one goal away from equalling David Villa's record of having scored the most goals goals for Spain in the group stage of a Euros (four). You'd fancy him to do that tonight with the way Spain have been playing.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 36 mins

Emre Mor, across the turf like a scalded cat, is tripped by veteran Jaroslav Plasil. Mor keeps his feet but Scottish ref William Collum calls him back. Plasil in the book.

  14. 'Better from Croatia'published at 20:36 British Summer Time 21 June 2016

    Croatia 0-1 Spain

That's much better from Croatia, but really poor marking from Spain.

Vedran Corluka gets round the back, gets his header across and luckily for Spain it falls to them.

In their own half Spain are a little bit clumsy, a little bit sloppy.

They're so good going forward, they think if the other team scores one then they'll score two.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 35 mins

    Czech Republic 0-1 Turkey

Czech right-back Pavel Kaderabek is having a Kyle Walker stormer and he is only stopped by a swinging arm from Ismail Koybasi. Boosh.

    In the book you go.

    Croatia 0-1 Spain

Marko Rog is bookedImage source, Reuters

First booking of the game as Croatia's Marko Rog is shown the yellow card after a foul.

Then comes a good spell for the Croatians as a free-kick us headed across goal by Vedran Corluka, but there's no blue shirt in there to pounce on it.

Dav: Rakitic would be the no1 midfielder in the Premier League if someone signed him, not appreciated in England as much as Iniesta.

Scott Kelly: Apart from Rakitic's unlucky effort, #SPA, external look like they could run #CRO, external ragged tonight.

Faraian: Croatia are very unlucky whereas Spain are clinical....we've got a game here.....!!

  18. CLOSE!published at 30 mins

    Czech Republic 0-1 Turkey

Arda Turan with some wonderful footwork to get away in the middle but he then wastes a pass to set a team-mate away. Manager Fatih Terim is FURIOUS. Like Joe Pesci in Casino furious. Terrifying.

To make matters worse for his blood pressure the Czechs go close at the other end, right-back Pavel Kaderabek poking wide at the far post...

  19. 'Croatia a threat on the break'published at 20:30 British Summer Time 21 June 2016

    Croatia 0-1 Spain

Ivan Perisic runs with the ballImage source, Reuters

Spain are playing keep ball at the minute, but Croatia look a little bit dangerous on the break, especially with Ivan Perisic.

He had a fantastic game against the Czech Republic. He plays on the right and left.

Spain probe and probe and probe, they wait for a gap or an opening and they have such great passers of the ball they can punish you in an instant.

  20. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Croatia 0-1 Spain

After a little wobble following their opener, Spain are back on top now and look different gravy to the other sides in this tournament.

Cesc Fabregas, like David Silva, has been superb. He's got five assists so far at Euro 2016 and it's almost six when he tees up Nolito on the edge of the area, but his shot is deflected behind by the swimming cap-wearing Vedran Corluka.
