    Croatia 0-0 Spain

Spain attack first, with Juanfran looking for options down the right. In the end he tries to bend the ball behind the defence, but puts it too close to the keeper. Easy save.

They have won both their games and been very impressive. I'm looking forward to watching Alvaro Morata, the centre forward, after two goals against Turkey.

We know Spain will create chances for him and they are so, so inventive with David Sliva, Andres Iniesta and Cesc Fabregas is still a top player.

It's a strong side and Vincent Del Bosque is showing a real intent in wanting to win the group.

With regards to non-kit matters, Croatia have started this game well, pressing high up the pitch. They may have a weakened side out, but they look to be going for the win.

This Spain kit is...unpleasant on the eye. It looks like one of those yoghurts with the corners of fruit filling that you tip in which, in this kit's case, the filling would be mango.

Croatia's is nice, though. Dark blue with lighter blue squares. 1-0 to Croatia in the battle of the kits.

    Czech Republic 0-0 Turkey

A very dodgy start from Turkey as they give the ball away cheaply three times in about 20 seconds. Turkey are wearing a blue and white fade kit tonight.

We've just had our usual pre-match dose of David Guetta trancefest. That, mercifully, is now over and the teams are making their way on to the pitch.

    National anthems o'clock.

The uncertainty of it, that every game means something all the way through the tournament - I'm excited about it.

Every single one has something very important riding on it. Even tonight Spain are through, but they haven't won the group.

In this system, the only problem I have got is if something is to be chosen by fair play. Everything else, I'm delighted with.

How many tournaments have you been to over the years where the final group games mean nothing? Well, you're not going to get that.

  14. Who's through?published at 19:53 British Summer Time 21 June 2016

Right then, my head is absolutely pounding working out who's through and who can still go through as the third best-placed side.

Definitely through are: France, Switzerland, Wales, England, Slovakia, Germany, Poland, Spain, Croatia, Italy, Hungary.

Croatia or Czech Republic? I would have to say Wales would prefer the Czech Republic. On the performance they showed last night I don't think Wales will fear anyone.

We'll avoid the Germanys, Italys and Spains because we won the group. If I had to choose one of these I would probably choose the Czechs.

Wales have had a good tournament up to now. It was an unbelievable win against Russia and we have earned that spot. We finished top and earned the right to play a third-placed team.

Czech Republic v Turkey (20:00 BST)

    • Czech Republic need to win to overhaul Croatia for second place or make sure of finishing as one of the best four third-placed sides; a draw might do depending on the outcomes in Group E and F. OK?
    • Turkey must win to have a chance of being one of the four best third-placed teams. If they win by one goal, they are out; a two-goal win eliminates Albania but leaves Turkey waiting to see if they progress; a four-goal win would take them into the last 16.

So attack, attack, attack attack attack from Turkey...

  17. Are Spain's players less tired than England?published at 19:45 British Summer Time 21 June 2016

    Croatia v Spain (20:00 BST)

Former Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann talking to BBC Radio 5 live: "It can be tiring, particularly for teams who have to act and not react.

"The Spanish guys are used to action, but the guys who play for Barcelona or Real Madrid are used to winning 6-0 and 7-0 and it's not quite as demanding as the English league.

"The Spanish right now look better than Germany, but hopefully that will change."

Spain are motoring along nicely, but is there a hint of disharmony in the ranks that could threaten to disrupt their momentum?

Chelsea winger Pedro said recently that a substitute role during Euro 2016 is "not worth staying for".

Pedro has managed a grand total of 10 minutes for Spain in France so far, and he told Spanish media, external that it was "difficult" for him to accept being second-choice as there was "no continuity" for him.

"If you don't see continuity, coming here to stay with the group is no longer worth it," he said.

The sun is out in Lens as both sets of players go through their warm-ups. The Czechs can still mathematically finish second in Group D and secure a place in the last 16 with a big win tonight.

These two countries have been like magnets since Turkey famously beat the Czechs 3-2 in the final group game of Euro 2008, having been 2-0 down with only 15 minutes to go. They have met four times since, including in qualifying for this tournament, when the away side won on each occasion. There are also numerous members of the Czech squad who have gone onto to play in the Turkish top flight.

That result at Euro 2008 put Turkey through to the knockout stage, where they ultimately reached the semi-finals, whilst the Czechs headed home.
