And Cristiano Ronaldo's header is palmed away by Robert Almer. What a fantastic leap from Ronaldo - he's about three feet above the three markers around him. 

But it's more frustration...

They're not keeping Portugal under wraps for long though, Austria. 

Guerreiro's delivery is poor from a decent position on the right, and Andre Gomes motors into the box but is hounded out.

Cristiano Ronaldo then absolutely smashes one from outside the box, on his left foot. Warp speed eight, easily, on his weaker boot. Corner ball...

Here's another chance to watch that strike from Stefan Ilsanker. It certainly was a powerful one.

Corner Portugal. Clever from Nani to flick the ball into Martin Hinteregger as he came across to win it.

Ricardo Quaresma's ball can't beat the first man, recent Leverkusen signing Julian Baumgartlinger clears.

There is a bit more energy about this Austria team but they need to be careful because they want to press high but that's twice Portugal have almost caught them out.

William Carvalho would be a good signing for a top European side. Not a top, top side perhaps, if you get the drift. He's currently at Sporting Lisbon.

Here he is pinging some pin-point passes out to the flanks as Portugal look for width. Here he is again sweeping up in the middle, getting his side on the front foot.

I believe in basketball terminology this is "from downtown". Doesn't bother CR7 though. He had a terrible first half but still thinks he can bend one in from 40 yards. Cue patented wide-legged stance and swagger... And into the wall. 

Nothing to see here.

Martin Harnik goes into the book now, a late challenge through the back of Joao Moutinho.

Plenty of hefty challenges coming in as Ricardo Quaresma is then cleared out. Portugal free-kick...

It's a great stop from Rui Patricio, palming it away so his defender can collect.

I would like to see Renato Sanches. He is a guy who can create some stuff, he is young and has a lot of energy. He can drive the team forward.

As the players were coming back onto the pitch Cristiano Ronaldo was in very heated discussion with the referee over something... There was pointing and everything.

No changes for either side at the break.

He's now gone 21 shots without scoring in the Euros (two of which were on target).

Portugal have dominated, but this was a great chance for Austria just before the break, David Alaba with the free-kick on the edge of the area.

David Alaba la-la-la-la-la sing the Austrians.

But of all the fans in Group F, it must be the Hungarians who are happiest right now, top of the pile with four points.

The only real surprise here is that we haven't had a goal because there have certainly been enough chances.

Good job, really, that this is the tournament of the late goal.... 

Oh, and if Ronaldo had taken any longer to make his way off at the break, the second half would have started.

Austria are playing it safe, and we have not seen anything from Arnautovic. The best chances have fallen to Nani, when they'd want them to fall to Ronaldo. 

They've not been clinical enough and that is their problem - if Ronaldo is not scoring, you don't know where their goals are coming from.

This stat's for real though: Cristiano Ronaldo has had the most shots at Euro 2016 - with 14 so far -  but is yet to score...
