    Leroy Fer (82 mins)

Forget about that Fernando Llorente miss - Swansea are ahead now. Jet-heeled substitute Jefferson Montero scorches down the left flank, whips in to Llorente whose header is too hot for Tom Heaton to handle. Leroy Fer is in the right place at the right time to slam in the opener.

It was definitely a free-kick and yellow card (for Ben Watson) but the other defender would have got across. It wasn't a red card. The referee should have given himself a bit of time.

    Burnley 0-0 Swansea

Swansea paid £6m for Fernando Llorente. A £6m striker should score this. The ex-Sevilla man has a free header from a cross, he doesn't even make Tom Heaton break sweat.

Spurs striker Vincent Janssen almost has a debut goal but he's denied by his Netherlands team-mate Maarten Stekelenburg in the Toffees goal.

Danny Rose's shot from outside the box ends up at the feet of Janssen but his eight-yard effort is excellently saved.

It's all Spurs now, Everton look absolutely drained.

  5. RED CARD - Ben Watson (Watford)published at 16:35 British Summer Time 13 August 2016

    Southampton 1-1 Watford

Game changer? Watford substitute Ben Watson has only been on the pitch for 12 minutes - now he's heading for an early bath. He's the last man, he's in a foot race with Shane Long, he tugs his shirt. Red card. Can Watford hang on for the last 15 minutes?

    Crystal Palace 0-1 West Brom

Alan Pardew is not a happy chappy. The Palace boss rolls the tactical dice again, this time Yohan Cabaye's number comes up. The France midfielder replaces Jason Puncheon.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:33 British Summer Time 13 August 2016

    Everton 1-1 Spurs

Everton make a change on the wing and former Spurs star Aaron Lennon enters the mix. He replaces Belgian Kevin Mirallas.

    Salomon Rondon (74 mins)

We told you earlier to stick a quid* on Salomon Rondon for first scorer.... He's only gone and bagged! The Baggies' record signing jumps highest to meet substitute James McClean's teasing inswinging free-kick from the right, flicking in past stranded Palace keeper Wayne Hennessey.

Walter Mazzarri leans back in his comfy dugout seat, legs in the air, hands on his head. The new Watford manager can't believe Etienne Capoue has just missed the target.

Xherdan Shaqiri has missed the wall and hit the target and that's as much credit as you can give him. If the keeper stands still he catches the ball. He'll be disappointed when he sees that.

  12. EFL updatepublished at 16:29 British Summer Time 13 August 2016

Newcastle have scored their first goal of the season in the Championship, as Dwight Gayle misses a penalty but tucks in the rebound to level against Huddersfield. That match is being played in front of an incredible crowd of 52,079 at St James' Park.

Blackburn are in big trouble this season, as they are now 3-0 behind at Wigan. Aston Villa, Barnsley and Brentford are all 2-0 up.

In League One, Scunthorpe have pulled a goal back against Fleetwood to go 2-1 behind, while Gillingham are 2-0 up against Bury. Welshman Ched Evans has scored for Chesterfield, who lead Swindon 3-0.

In League Two, Mansfield are smelling good against Cheltenham as Danny Rose has given them the lead, while Wycombe are ahead against Grimsby.

The one thing that has been questioned of Deulofeu is his work rate but that has not been the case today. His movement has caused Vertonghen and Alderweireld all sorts of problems but he may have just tired a little before his substitution.

Stoke winger Xherdan Shaqiri levels for Stoke with a nice free-kick from 20 yards out. He shoots across Victor Valdes' goal and the former Barcelona goalkeeper can't reach it.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 West Brom

West Brom is still looking the likelier to score the opener. Jonas Olsson heads over the Palace bar. Home boss Alan Pardew has seen enough - he throws on Everton target Yannick Bolasie.

Townsend, Bolasie, Zaha - Palace have three quarters of a decent 4x100m relay team on the pitch.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:24 British Summer Time 13 August 2016

    Everton 1-1 Spurs

Everton boss Ronald Koeman decided to play winger Gerard Deulofeu as the sole striker instead of recognised frontman Arouna Kone today.

But here comes the Ivorian now, replacing the Catalan, who has played well in an alien position.

    Burnley 0-0 Swansea

Swansea should be ahead. Iceland midfielder Gyfli Sigurdsson comes on for the Swans and nearly makes an instant impact with a stinging free-kick that is pushed out for a corner by Tom Heaton.

But the danger isn't over. Sigurdsson's set piece is flicked on by Jack Cork and Federico Fernandez should bundle in from close range. Somehow he heads over. Burnley off the hook.

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Stoke

Middlesbrough are sitting back a bit more, although they do break and Albert Adomah's cross is poor when he had Alvaro Negredo and Gaston Ramirez waiting in the box.

I said in the first half the width had to come from Rose or Walker for Tottenham but they were not getting forward quickly enough. That looks to have changed and it was an excellent delivery from Walker on the right to find Lamela running into the box from deep.

The Nathan Redmond strike looked so simple. To strike a ball coming down from the air is really difficult but he set his feet and struck it really well. He has looked really busy and deserved his goal.
