    And that's the winner.

Nemanja Matic goes long, lofting the ball upfield towards the head of Michy Batshuayi, who flicks it on for strike partner Diego Costa.

Costa, who should not be on the field, takes a touch and strikes a low effort through the legs of James Collins and into the bottom corner.

West Ham goalkeeper Adrian was done after taking a step to his left. It proved fateful.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte goes running down the touchline in celebration before hugging the fans in the front row. Incredible scenes.

After that strike, Pedro puts in a cross with his left foot, inswinging towards Diego Costa, but the Spain striker can't quite stretch to get his toe on the ball.

    Two minutes left.

    Nearly.

Victor Moses, who I forgot was still a Chelsea player, whips in a superb cross into the box which Winston Reid gets up to head away.

The ball drops to Pedro, who takes it on the volley but the ball goes narrowly wide of Adrian's right-hand post.

Striker Michy Batshuayi comes on for his Chelsea debut in place of Oscar and Eden Hazard is replaced by Victor Moses.

Referee Anthony Taylor is having a mare.

N'Golo Kante, already on a booking, chops down Dimitri Payet from behind but no booking. Why not?

Guaranteed if that was a player not on a booking he would have been given a yellow.

Stamford Bridge is a bit leaky.

Chelsea have conceded a goal at home in their last 13 games, stretching back to November 2015.

Antonio Conte will need to shore the defence up in training over the next few months.

It's a thunderous effort. James Collins gets the initial header and it comes back to him - it's off his left foot, he takes a step back and thumps it. Quality finish. Any striker in the country would be pleased with that.

    James Collins (76 mins)

    Big man, big goal.

A corner from Dimitri Payet comes into the box and James Collins heads the ball on which strikes the arm of Cesar Azpilicueta.

Collins, appealing for a penalty, cannot believe his luck as the ball falls kindly onto his left foot and the Welshman takes a swing of his boot to send the ball flying past Thibaut Courtois's diving left hand and into the net.

The Hammers barely deserve this, but Slaven Bilic won't care one jot.

Dimitri Payet cannot get his free-kick over and down into the goal as the ball is too close to the area. He opts for power and the ball hits the wall.

Oscar has been the all-round player tonight, he's been buzzing around but I'd love to know how many tackles he's made in there. The way he plays is infectious.

Meanwhile, West Ham get a free-kick on the edge of the box as Cesar Azpilicueta raises his boot to the face of Andy Carroll, who had stooped to head the ball.

No prizes for guessing who is over this free-kick...

Most tackles made by a Chelsea player today: N'Golo Kante? Nope. John Terry? Nope.

It's Oscar, who has won the ball back six times. An excellent, hard working performance from the little Brazilian so far.

Mark Noble, in front of the watching England manager Sam Allardyce, has not had the best of games.

He brings down Diego Costa just outside the area and a free-kick in a very promising position for Chelsea...

Richard: That is a blatant yellow card. He's late. He's high. He should be off. Ref has bottled it.

Robin Smit: If he is not on a yellow then that would have been his first yellow, a bit annoying as he should be sent off for 2 yellows

JavelBleach: Costa was MILES away from the ball! Has the ref lost his cards?!

Dimitri Payet is over it and curls it in, but fails to clear the first defender.

It's a high challenge. Diego Costa is lucky to get away with that one. Of course he has to go for the ball there, but Diego Costa is gesturing like he realises what he has done.
