This is an ugly challenge from the Chelsea striker.

West ham goalkeeper Adrian gets his feet in a tangle and Costa comes sliding in with a tackle - which he is fully entitled to do.

What he is not allowed to do is catch the Spaniard high on the shin and rake his studs down his leg.

Nasty. Anthony Taylor awards the free-kick, but no second yellow for Costa.

Sam Byram, who just been sent on as Michail Antonio was playing poorly, is made a mug of by Eden Hazard.

The Belgian gets the ball to his feet and flicks the ball over the West Ham man who had gone sliding in on his backside.

Luckily for the away side, Hazard cannot make too much of the good work.

Slaven Bilic is clearly not happy with Michail Antonio. He gets taken off after conceding the penalty and on comes ex-Leeds player Sam Byram.

Chelsea think they can get at West Ham now, who have been very sloppy in possession.

Willian breaks down the right for the home side and cuts the ball back into the box to Eden Hazard, but the Belgian is dispossessed in the nick of time by Arthur Masuaku.

Following the awarding of the penalty, West Ham's Michail Antonio was given a yellow card for the challenge on Cesar Azpilicueta.

West Ham fell asleep at the start of this half and were punished. That interval team-talk from Slaven Bilic - "keep it tight in the first 10" - goes out of the window.

I don't think there can be any complaints. Michail Antonio loses it and tries to retrieve it and I don't think he realises he is in the box.

And that's how I like to see a penalty put away. Emphatic.
