Antonio Conte's final words in public as Italy coach were a description of his new job at Chelsea as "this great adventure".

The 46-year-old's tactical approach and animated demeanour made him one of the significant figures of the tournament in France.

Owner Roman Abramovich made him an offer he could not refuse.

    Enter, Signor Conte.
