Watford captain Troy Deeney: "It was not good enough, I cannot say anything other than that, we got bullied to a man all over the pitch. Burnley set up and we couldn’t handle it, they won every first and second ball, they were dogged and I don’t mean that in a negative way.
"It is not the first time we have conceded from a corner, questions need to be asked, people need to be held accountable.
"People need to take responsibility – look at Michael Keane, he just come through and said ‘that is my ball, I’m going to head it’, he wanted more than the other boys involved.
"We played right into their hands, I don’t know what more to say, we got bullied.
"We played so well against Manchester United recently but it never really looked like it was going to happen.
"We have to try to make sure the fans have more Manchester United weekends then Burnley away weekends."

Watford manager Walter Mazzarri: "We were not playing good, we made changes which improved us but then we conceded a second goal which made it difficult for us.
"It was not good enough. I was hoping the players would come to the pitch with the same hunger and determination but they didn't. We will reflect.
"In English football it is difficult. Burnley were very aggressive, they also beat Liverpool."

If you're a team-mate of Troy Deeney, I'd stay out of his way for the bus trip home.
Troy Deeney is not a happy man. At all. More to come...
Burnley 2-0 Watford
Watford captain Troy Deeney: "Poor. I'll have to watch my words or I'll get in trouble. We got bullied to a man, Burnley stuck to their gameplan, fair play to them.
"We lost 2-0 on TV, we got run over and both goals could have been avoided. I'm very disappointed. You set high standards and if you don't' match them people will ask questions."
Burnley 2-0 Watford
Steven Defour has been involved in four of Burnley’s five Premier League goals this season, scoring one and assisting three.
Defour is only the third Burnley player to provide two assists in a Premier League match, after Chris Eagles in November 2009 v West Ham and Steve Fletcher in May 2010 v Tottenham.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche: "We've never lacked grit and determination and had the base of a performance. The lads were terrific tonight.
"I like to play 4-4-2 and attack teams but it was the right side tonight to get a performance. Whatever shape we play we need energy and pressing and tonight there were moments of quality. If you keep clean sheets you'll have a chance in games.
"Last time around in the Premier League we didn't concede many so we believe there's good organisation in the team and we need to be productive at the top end of the pitch.
"We've made a really solid start. We have added to the squad, we would have liked more but it's a tough market."

Staying in the Premier League is so vital that teams just defend. Watford came here this evening and there was no attacking threat at all

Burnley defender Michael Keane: "That's our best performance of season. Jeff Hendrick's goal settled us down and I managed to get a goal and from then we looked dominant."

Very very poor. Wet, windy, chilly night in Burnley ... Watford just didn't really fancy it. They will have to change an awful lot come the weekend when they play Bournemouth.

Burnley goalscorer Michael Keane says that the squad has confidence that they have enough to stay up this time around, with more depth in the squad, and praised the imput of Steven Defour since his arrival.

Suddenly Burnley's whole week looks a lot brighter, gives them confidence. Watford though, I really don't understand where they were coming from at all.

If you saw MOTD2 last night - and if not, why? - Kevin Kilbane and Robbie Savage did some smart analysis on defending corners this season and how the change of rules is stopping defenders from getting hold of their men. Tonight we saw two soft goals from corners. Time to get on the training pitch.

Nope, not your day Watford. Troy Deeney tees up Isaac Success on the left, he hits a speculator from 20 yards, just wide of the corner.

Yep. Odion Ighalo has not been in the game one bit.

I just think Watford almost just have to write this game off. Ighalo has just not been in the game at all. Him and Deeney were such a threat and caused so many problems last season.
