Three at the back? Four at the back? Or maybe a leftfield one at the back and throw everyone else up top?

Gareth Southgate has spoken about England needing to be tactically flexible, taking the Pep Guardiola aproach to keeping everyone guessing how his 11 names will actually line up.

And while Paul Scholes agrees with his former international team-mate about being tactically flexible, the Manchester United legend also says Southgate must establish an identity for the side.

So what 'identity' do you want the England team to have?

Is this a hint into Gareth Southgate's team selection? Probably not. The teccy responsible for testing out Wembley's big screen opted to use a snap of the recalled Sunderland striker earlier. Maybe he or she has had a sneak peek at Southgate's team sheet.

Team news is on the way shortly...

    October 2009? That's a long time ago, isn't it?!

Gordon Brown was still Prime Minister. Cheryl Cole was still relevant in the pop charts. And Fabio Capello was still England manager.

The Italian oversaw the Three Lions' last defeat in a qualifying campaign - a whopping 33 games ago.

Lithuania, whose odds of winning are as long as 40-1 with some bookies, are aiming to stop it becoming 34.

    Who said October 2009?

Who said when Ukraine beat Fabio Capello's men in a 2010 World Cup qualifier?

And who said bald-headed Ukrainian journeyman Sergiy Nazarenko bagged the winner?

If you guessed all three you're a genius. Or an internet search engine-using cheat.
