Scotland fans find their voice within seconds of that England equaliser. It's been pretty tame stuff since Berra's goal. Scotland controlling it but not creating really good chances to add a second. Malta have adopted their 'sticky opponent' guise. They're defending better now, but that's really all they are doing.

Aaron Hughes wins a tackle for Northern Ireland on the edge of his box and it travels about 50 yards. Top defending. Only a minute or so until half-time.

Marcus Rashford on the left makes much more sense as he drives inside and then hits a dipping curler from 20 yards which is fizzing into the near post until Martin Dubravka gets down well to save.

England are a team playing with confidence and belief now. They look like they are enjoying the occasion.

They are committing more men forward. It looks like the shackles are off. Rashford coming left and Oxlade-Chamberlain going right looks to have made a difference.

The best bit of Harry Kane - Dele Alli interplay as they play a one-two. Kane is tackled, the loose change is collected by Ryan Bertrand and he blasts in a shot which Martin Dubravka pushes over the top.

What a great free-kick by Chris Brunt, a lot of whip and bend on it but I would love to know what the goalkeeper is doing. He took a step to the left.

When did Corry Evans become Zinedine Zidane? He runs from his own half and 25 yards from goal nutmegs Filip Novak, drawing the foul. Great position for the hosts.

England are playing higher. They have more men in the Slovakia half and they have control of the game again. There is more belief. You hope they can play with some freedom and expression as Gareth Southgate said he wanted them to do.

"Those tense first 25 minutes are a distant memory as 'We're not Brazil, we're Northern Ireland' echoes around the Belfast skies."

England have only failed to score in three of their last 21 internationals and that Eric Dier goal has reset the clock. It shouldn't mask the fact that they served up a stinking first half hour though.

Jakub Jankto throws himself to the ground dramatically under no pressure from Chris Brunt on the edge of the box. Brunty isn't happy at that. JJ might have been lucky to avoid a yellow card there.

It is a brilliant finish from Dier. England have looked dangerous from every corner from Rashford from this right-hand side. It is probably his worst, though. They have deserved that for the last five minutes.

England in the last 5-10 minutes have played with a bit more energy and commitment. Sterling got subbed at half-time on Friday but I wonder if this is the kind of game for him? He can beat a man.

Incredible skyline matched by incredible noise as Jonny Evans heads Northern Ireland in front at Windsor Park. I could barely hear myself think as I gave news of the goal on 5 live.

The atmosphere is absolutely electric at Windsor Park. Ten minutes left until half-time as Ladislav Krejci fails to keep a ball in play to a lot of whistles from the home crowd.
