  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 82 mins

    Norway 1-0 Northern Ireland

Norway have the ball - Northern Ireland aren't looking like getting back into this game. The hosts remove Markus Henriksen and replace him with Ole Selnaes. Running the clock down.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 79 mins

    Norway 1-0 Northern Ireland

Corry Evans will not be suspended for the play-offs. One booking from a suspension, he's replaced by Shane Ferguson.

We're getting another look at the own goal and it's been suggested that I might have been harsh on Chris Brunt. I think it's fair to say that Michael McGovern shouldn't have let it get that far and there may well have been a Norway attacker arriving. My main beef is that he used his left foot, making it harder to get the ball away from goal. A bit of right peg wouldn't have gone amiss.

Jason McIntosh: Oh that's poor from Michael McGovern. Would be disappointing to finish the campaign with a defeat here.

Adam Doherty: Neil Diamond is literally playing Belfast tonight so 'Sweet Caroline' is getting belted out regardless of what happens in Oslo.'

    Norway 1-0 Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland almost hit back right away. Firstly, Stuart Dallas' fizzer is tipped around the post. From the resulting corner, Josh Magennis is in there as the ball pings around, but he can't turn it in.

Normal order has been restored in Kaiserslautern, with the world champions stepping on the gas now.

Sandro Wagner scored the second with a header that was judged to have crossed the line, before Badavi Huseynov deflected a corner into his own net and Leon Goretzka side-footed in the fourth from Leroy Sane's cross.

  7. 'Terrible goal!'published at 21:13 British Summer Time 8 October 2017

    John O'Neill
Former Northern Ireland defender on BBC Radio Ulster

That was a terrible, terrible goal. The defence should deal with it!

Chris Brunt is expecting Michael McGovern to get it over the bar. He didn't have much room to deal with it.

He could have done better but you would put that down to the goalkeeper.

That goal sums up the game. It is a sloppy game and a sloppy goal.

GOAL - Norway 1-0 Northern Irelandpublished at 70 mins

    Chris Brunt own goal

This is one of the daftest, stupidest and worst own goals you'll ever see. Firstly, the goalkeeping. Michael McGovern is under no pressure to deal with Stefan Johansen's cross, but he's flapping around like washing on the line. Then, at the back post, Chris Brunt can put the ball anywhere. There's no challenge. Just boot it away from your own net. Somehow, he volleys it into the roof of the onion bag. An emphatic finish, but at the wrong end.

That was great play there and it was an injection of pace.

George Saville was just about to hit it but unfortunately he was blocked. When you get that pace, chances will come.

Sadly, they have been few and far between. This has been a poor, poor match.

A Northern Ireland substitution, but it's not a man with a ban hanging over him. Conor Washington withdrawn, Kyle Lafferty on.

It's just so sloppy and scrappy it's unreal.

There has been no quality play.

    Norway 0-0 Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland have a foot on the ball, but they can only move it backwards. There's a touch more urgency about both sides in this second half, but you can't say that a goal is forthcoming. Norway keep burrowing down the Northern Irish left, but constantly run into white shirts.

  16. Germany regain the leadpublished at 21:03 British Summer Time 8 October 2017

Azerbaijan's hopes of getting a point in Germany have just been dented by Sandro Wagner, who has given his side a 2-1 lead.

It's been a valiant effort from Azerbaijan though and Germany really need to raise their game.

There has been no more goals in the second half in Cezch Republic as they still lead San Marino 3-0.

    Norway 0-0 Northern Ireland

Norway might not have the guile to unpick this Northern Ireland defence, but the home side are doing virtually all of the attacking. The visitors haven't been into the Norway half for what seems like living memory. Back-to-back corners. The white wall has been pushed back a long way.

  18. 'Norway don't have a spark'published at 20:59 British Summer Time 8 October 2017

    Norway 0-0 Northern Ireland

    John O'Neill
Former Northern Ireland defender on BBC Radio Ulster

I think Norway are in for a long wait before they start qualifying again because there is nobody in the side that has a spark.

Maybe Sander Berge, but they just lack that spark.

    Norway 0-0 Northern Ireland

There's not a lot going on in Oslo. Norway on trying to make headway down the Northern Ireland right, watched by a lot of empty seats at the far side of the ground. Oooffff! Take that. Gareth McAuley has just taken a long-range shot square in the face. Alexander Sorloth's shot was going miles wide. If McAuley hadn't got his bonce in the way, Northern Ireland would have had a goal-kick.
