Ashley Fletcher has been brave. He's had a go, he's chased. And he's lifted the West Ham crowd. These fans embrace players like that, with a real work ethic.

Six minutes to find a goal or West Ham are out. Can they find one?

West Ham are being encouraged to take risks now, get more players forward. Play man-for-man defensively. 

One goal would really unnerve the visitors and leave them very fragile for the end of this match.

Another great save! What a night Silviu Lung is having in the Astra goal, full-stretch to his right to finger-tip Enner Valencia's drive away. 

I don't think Ashley Fletcher will have to wait long for his first Premier League start. He's been terrific as he wins a free-kick in a good area.

It's a lazy comparison but Fletcher has a lot of Marcus Rashford about his game.

Ashley Fletcher deserves a goal for the impact he's had since coming on but that just lacked a bit of power. 

It's another great chance for West Ham! Ashley Fletcher wins a corner, it's half cleared out, Angelo Ogbonna hits it back in and it falls at the feet of Fletcher.

He turns and shoots, but Silviu Lung saves with his legs. He had the whole goal to aim at - had to score!

Fletcher has made a big difference though.

More good play from Ashley Fletcher sets Reece Burke away on the left, he teases in a cross and Enner Valencia stretches to head it wide. He perhaps would have been better leaving that for Michail Antonio.

He's hugely frustrated, Ashley Fletcher. 

At least that will stoke the crowd up more. Hopefully they can drive West Ham towards a goal.

There's still a good period of time. I'm confident West Ham will still get a good decent chance or two before the final whistle.

If West Ham can level the scores we would have extra-time and potentially penalties. They don't look too likely at the moment though. Astra goalkeeper Silviu Lung is booked for time wasting. Still over 20 minutes to go... 

That may be so Jonny but you show me a rational football fan and I'll show you a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

Groans of frustration as another move breaks down. It's been much better from West Ham since half-time but have Astra weathered the storm?

Jonny Hayes: When will we Hammers get real? Take Payet, Carroll, Lanzini, Sakho, Noble out of any team and they will struggle.

It's pretty much all West Ham now as they push hard for an equaliser. Winston Reid gets up well to meet a corner but he can only head it wide from eight yards out. 

Just under half an hour to go.

Cheikhou Kouyate gallops forward to cut out an errant pass on his chest, the ball bounces up and is crying out to be hit so he does, swerving, 25-yarder with the outside of his boot but wide.
