You won't believe this but West Ham striker Andy Carroll has been ruled out for between four and six weeks with a knee injury sustained in the first leg.

And record signing Andre Ayew needs thigh surgery and will be out for four months.

It's not been the best start to a season injury-wise. Reinforcements on the way?

Just to clarify, a 0-0 draw is enough to send West Ham through after last week's draw in Romania.

Any win would also see them through, a 1-1 draw means extra-time at least and any other score draw ends the European run.

This is still going to take some getting used to isn't it?

Ninety minutes away from a Europa League group campaign.

Whether you see that as a positive or a negative, that's the state of play awaiting West Ham this evening.

A win against Romanian side Astra Giurgiu will extend Slaven Bilic's side's season by at least six games.

    Can the Hammers do it?
