  1. 'A plumb chance for Borja'published at 13:00 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Swansea 1-0 Liverpool

Ex-Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live

That's another big miss from Borja. He should have got that on target. It's plumb in front of the goal and he's not tested Karius. Liverpool have had lots of possession, but not good possession. How many saves has had Fabianski had to make?

  2. CLOSE! AGAIN!published at 28 mins

    Swansea 1-0 Liverpool

    It's Borja Baston once more.

The Spanish forward - making his first league start for the Swans - glances his header wide from about six yards. That's the second chance he's squandered.

Maybe Borja should consider a career in defence.

The Swans have a free-kick only 30 yards from goal on the right. Danger.

Adam Lallana has tweaked something. He wasn't hit by anyone, but you always worry when a player stops and lies on the turf. Sometimes it's a little tweak and you can run it off and forget about it, other times you can't. He's given it a go, stopped again and it looks like a groin strain.

No it's fine, he's back on.

Nope, he's now down on his haunches again.

    Now he's off the pitch.

It appears that Daniel Sturridge might be coming on.

Not the early change Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wanted to make.

The play stops. Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana is on the deck. He doesn't seem to be in particular discomfort.

He's walking off the pitch. There didn't seem to be any contact with a Swansea player.

    Strange one.

  9. 'Was the goal offside?'published at 12:47 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Swansea 0-1 Liverpool

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Liverpool fans might have a gripe with the goal. Was it offside? It looks when the ball lands at Leroy Fer's feet he might just be a matter of inches offside. It would be a incredibly difficult call for the linesman to make. The ball maybe brushed a Liverpool defender on the way through.

Francesco Guidolin was a man under pressure going into this game but the chant of "Guidolin's barmy army" rings around the Liberty Stadium following Leroy Fer's opening goal.

It has been a bright and purposeful start from Swansea, and this early scoreline is a boost for Guidolin's chances of holding on to his job.

Francesco Guidolin is off his seat. He's feeling this one. This could be the adrenaline shot needed by the manager under pressure.

Swansea, with the wind in their sails, are pressing Liverpool high up the pitch.

    Can they keep it up?

  13. 'Liverpool are weak from corners'published at 12:41 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Swansea 1-0 Liverpool

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Liverpool are a bit weak from corners and were punished there. They have a zone of five players, but Swansea just miss out that zone with the delivery to the back post. They haven't got enough height there. It surprises me they don't adapt their defensive play.

Fer's scored from about two inches! He's been arguably their best player when I've seen him this season so he's a player who deserves his goal.

Moments earlier it was a poor miss from Borja. He's only just come into the team, he hasn't had a touch yet. He probably wishes that chance came in another 15 minutes when he's got himself into the game. I'm trying to find some positives for him!

Chris Wright: Worst possible start that. A goal down to a set-piece corner!! Pathetic and wake up!!

Paul Walmsley: This is going to be Burnley all over again.

Ijaz: What a start by @SwansOfficial! Much needed goal. Still, sad to see Montero not in the squad

Liverpool, of course, lost 2-0 at Burnley earlier in the season.

GOAL - Swansea 1-0 Liverpoolpublished at 8 mins

    Leroy Fer

    What a start from Swansea!

Borja Baston's ridiculous miss is a distant memory  (maybe not) as Leroy Fer pokes in after a corner from the left is headed back into the six-yard area by the man himself - Borja.

That's Fer's fourth goal of the season. Fourth.

Liverpool as expected have control of possession and look very confident and comfortable in these early stages. The visitors have pressed high and already started to deny Swansea space in their own half. At the moment Swansea are still trying to get a foothold on the game.

Early possession for the Reds. Nathaniel Clyne motors down the right and delivers a low ball that is cleared by Mike van der Hoorn.

Liverpool will press and press so the Swans will have to show a bit of guile today.
