The agent at the centre of English football's corruption scandal says his claim eight current and ex-Premier League managers took bribes was a lie.

Pino Pagliara was one of three agents filmed by the Daily Telegraph, external seemingly making accusations over transfers.

The Italian told BBC sports editor Dan Roan he wanted to "impress" businessmen and secure a lucrative contract.

The Daily Mirror, external suggests he could be dropped from his position from the board of the League Managers' Association.

The Sun, external lead with Sam Allardyce possibly facing a football ban.

He left his role as England manager after a newspaper investigation claiming he offered advice on how to "get around" rules on player transfers.
